What kind of Auditing simulations did you have when you took the auditing exam? What are some questions they might ask?

Unfortunately we are not allowed to disclose what kind of sims we had on the exam. The AICPA frowns upon that.

I would do a forum search but also remember what may be on my exam may not be on your exam.

Without getting into specifics I will say I was more pleased with the AUD sims than FAR sims. The questions were pretty straight forward and the AL was a little more helpful. Becker's AUD sims seemed to be structured fairly similar to those on the actual exam. Good luck!

I did not know we were not allowed to discuss simulations in specifics or I wouldn't have asked. I will make sure to focus on the Becker Sims.

    Thanks for the reply!

If you have Ninja MCQs Jeff has a break down of sims by CSO so if you are running out of time you can focus on the ones that are normally heavily tested. One thing that helps be figure out what to focus on is when the instructors say its heavily tested or sometimes they will say this can come up in a simulation.

    Good Luck.

Be prepared to expect the unexpected. Based from my observation, and experience (exam, and this forum) trends show that SIMS are getting harder. Also, it is a pure luck. I got 3 (inculding research) out of 7 SIMS that I can straight away find it in AL. I cannot disclose it. Remaining 4 I had to use the concepts that I learned in MCQ's, and textbook. But Ninja SIMS are closer to the exams.

Know this one thing, you can use the authoritative literature for every SIM. Even if its a journal entry if you've got confusion on rules, etc the AL is available. Spend some time preparing how to navigate the AL, I swear that is the only reason I passed.
