    Based on your experience:

    Are they worth studying?

How much time should be devoted to these areas?

Are there any important concepts that should be covered with regard to these areas?

    Thanks!

    F - sometime in October

Those chapters in the Wiley book are tiny. I covered both of those chapters in 1 study session. If you are pressed for time I would just focus on the basics of those chapters.

I would study them because anything is fair game. Just because it was not on my exam does not mean it wont be on yours. Sampling you run the risk of possibly running into a SIM on sampling. And that could be the difference between a passing score and a failing score. Some people do get lucky and go in to the exam and they don't get tested on any of the areas that they barely studied.

Thanks y'all. I'm going to read the text, do the questions, making note of and reviewing the ones I got wrong.. The chapters are short and everything is fair game.

If you dont have much time to waste, I will go for sampling. Like Rugger mentioned, you might get a simulation on sampling cause there is enough info there for a simulation.

Agree with @Martin. The IT section doesn't cover much stuff that isn't already covered in BEC. If you have to pick one pick sampling. @Ruggercpa2b, getting a sampling sim on the exam would really be bad luck!

By coming to the forum to sample the members thoughts on the importance of audit sampling, you run the sampling risk that the responses of the forum members will not accurately represent the population of the exam.
