    Becker Question –

These MCQs are taking me a while the first time through. How long on average did most of you take getting through this material? I want to schedule my test for the end of November but I am waiting to see how much I can complete by Friday. I started last Thursday and I am half way through B2. Any assistance is appreciated.

It took me an eternity to get through. Lol i actually had a breakdown during B2 because it was taking so long and audit and reg questions never took so long to get through. Just take a deep breath and keep pushing. B3 also sucks. B4 is tough but at least there is no math. B5 and B6 are much easier. Pay very close attention to B4. My exam asked very specific questions. My lack of respect for the IT section definitely hurt me but I made it through in one piece so its all good lol.

Took me forever to get through, as well. Don't be discouraged. My advice is get through it and move on. Its important you get to IT and review COSO for the exam.

Don't spin your wheels. Put it to rest, when you get back to it it will make a lot more sense. Then repeat.

Not sure I'll be at a good point by Friday to take the exam in November. It always takes me longer than planned.

Take it one section at a time and don't be afraid to spend a while on it. It took me 6 hours to do and it was well worth it – hoping for the best on my exam Sunday. good luck!

also want to say good luck to j in the BEC thread. Ive been trying to post but none of my posts show up. 🙁 best of luck to you!

@NJ Only 6 hours? That's pretty good. I just got done with the 2nd B2 lecture today after completing missed homework problems from the 1st lecture. After that, I reread the section and completed about 45-50 MCQs. I'm still far from done though. Good luck on your test. I plan on putting in a 12 hour day tomorrow. I really want to take this test and pass. Want to get one under my belt after my FAR debacle.

I think what really helped me was writing down everything that I thought was important to answering the question and than working with the numbers that I thought was important to get to the answer. I can tell you that it took me more time to figure out variance analysis than anything else in the book. I have been studying since the beginning of September and I only just understood variance analysis last week. Again, it takes time. The first is really stressful and on my side, A LOT of trees were killed.

It took me a while to completely understand B2… I finally understood it when I took the time to write my own notes from the chapter, I use Becker.

After that it was smooth sailing for that section at least.

Economics has always been my downfall.

DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED!!!! lol sorry for the exageration but I actually posted about this when it was my first time going through the material in B2. It just sucks there is no better way to put it lol. After that I promise it gets easier. Push through it the second time around it will make a lot more sense trust me.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not discouraged. I just take a long time getting through the material. More frustrating than anything else.

I really wish chapter 2 would be broken down into smaller sections. Instead of having 120 questions in one section, I would rather have have 3 sections of 40. Yes, I know it's the same, but when first looking at it, it doesn't look as daunting if it's in smaller blocks.

B2 & B3 took me forever. I ended up only doing like half the MCQ's (which is probably why I got a 74). B4-B6 are like a gift. I got through them pretty quick.

I'm struggling through B2 as well.

Is there a list of absolute must-know formulas for the exam? I just can't see myself ever remembering all of the different formulas.
