    NINJA Question –

I graduated in 2010, studied for the exam 2011/2012. Never passed / didn’t put in the effort. Decided it wasn’t for me. I used Yaeger to study and bought Jeff’s Ninja Notes. I don’t think I’d like to use Yaeger again.

That being said… What is the best way to go? I see negative about Becker as I always have… I was leaning towards Roger, but now I see Jeff as all this new great stuff, books, MCQs, etc. Can I just purchase all of Jeff’s NINJA things to study for the exam? Is that what it is meant to do now?? It looks like the entire package for one exam is about $277. Is this correct? Just trying to catch up on times 😛

I had Becker only. Ninja notes probably would have pushed each of my grades up but Becker got me the scores needed to get through

    AUD - July 2014 - 76
    REG - August 2014 - 82
    FAR - November 2014 - 78
    BEC - January 2015 - 81

    DONE!!!!

Used Becker online. Who needs a text when you can burn your eyes out staring at the screen for months on end?

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you're hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

Chantel, Why don't you like Yeager?

I have used Rogers and have never passed ANY section with their stuff. For the past 14 months I have been using Yeager and have 3 down and just BEC to go.

I really like the Wiley Text it is comprehensive if you want to dig-in more (but don't have to, Yeager instructors guided me just what I need).

I have been using Ninja Test bank and have find it to be a bit over kill and probably will raise your score passing (if you use it all… it is ALOT!!)

The new Wiley Test bank (effiecient learning .com) absolutely suck @$$ and really all I am using is Yeager with Wiley Text and Ninja Test Bank.

REG 78 12/2013 YEAGER CPA REVIEW and Yaeger REG Cram Course
FARE 77 05/2014 YEAGER CPA REVIEW and Yaeger FARE Cram Course

Used Gleim only so far and it has worked out well. Gleim has a guarantee thing that will grant you continued access until you pass if you complete most of the study material. Of all the stressful things about the CPA, this continued access thing really helped me calm my nerves.

I got a discount through my employer, but I think it was in the $700s for books and online access for all 4 parts. I also liked how quick they were to respond to my inquires about questions I couldn't figure out. I think I've asked around 10 question so far. The amount of info and questions provided by Gleim is substantial and at times overwhelming which is good and bad when you're reviewing everything over the final weeks.

If you do get Gleim, get the lectures. The presenter for FAR was entertaining and definitely helped my understanding for some concepts and how to tackle very wordy MCQs. I didn't have the lectures for the other parts because they didn't exist so I don't know if they are any good.

So far I'd rank Gleim very high on quality of material for AUD and REG and decent for BEC. Gleim BEC came off as a bit easy and the actual exam wasn't, but I was challenged quite a bit in my AUD and REG studies. If I wasn't working full time and didn't have to worry about overtime and meeting deadlines I think I could have exceeded a score of 90 on AUD and REG.

I have the same feeling about FAR and feel Gleim has given me the tools to crush the exam, but will find out tomorrow. The amount of info/questions provided by Gleim for this part is definitely overwhelming and I didn't even come close to seeing every question at least twice which is concerning but think that was mostly due to cramming all of FAR into 7 weeks of study thanks to illnesses.

I have heard from a lot of coworkers that they hated becker and others said they liked it. I frankly thought they were overpriced and went with Gleim since that was the materials I used to pass the CIA exam. I've heard very good things about Roger materials though.

Yes – with the addition of the books ninja is more than enough to pass now.
