I wasnt aware when I purchased all 4 exams this summer that I had to take them all in the specified testing window. As a result im cramming BEC in quickly before my window ends. I have about a week to study. I realize passing is pretty far off but does anyone have any suggestions as I go into cramming mode? (read the outline, focus on an area, etc)

    Thanks!

That's a tough position. The challenging thing about BEC is that it covers so many areas and the exam tends to touch on all the areas. I speak from experience having just took the exam a week ago.

What are you using to study? If it's Becker I would really focus on Chapters 1, 2, 3, and 5. The essentials for you to know are COSO, cost accounting, variances, financial valuation methods, and economics. The IT stuff is also emphasized quite a bit too, but not as much as those other areas from my experience.

    FAR- 92 (7/25/2014)
    AUD- 93 (8/30/2014)
    REG- 93 (10/10/2014)
    BEC- 91 (11/10/2014)

Using Becker self-study only. Working full-time.

Hey! Change your attitude young man. If you're already saying that you probably won't make it, then you won't.

I just took BEC today after studying 30 hours over 2.5 days, and I actually feel like I probably passed it. This is not a difficult exam. I used Becker and NINJA MCQs, and focused on the stuff I found less logic and to memorize the essential formulas (like max 15 formulas).

As for topics, make sure you cover the ones you feel are “difficult”. In addition to that, make sure you spend quite some time on these areas because they are HEAVILY tested:

    – COSO incl ERM

    – IT

    – Economics

    – Variances labor – materials – OH

And most important – stay positive.

    AUD - 95 / Jul 15 / 130h over 4 weeks
    FAR - 86 / Aug 14 / 240h over 4 weeks
    (11 week break)

    REG - 81 / Nov 14 / 200h over 4 weeks
    BEC - 87 / Nov 17 / 30 h over 2.5 days

@krokofilen you forgot one of the most important: Financial Management. Know how to get around each and every ratio because it won't be exactly like this: Current Assets is #, Current Liabilities is #, find the current ratio. Almost everything is asked from a different angle.
