Studied hardcore for the first time. Took my first part (BEC) in July and got a 74. Unreal.

Is this worth the appeal process? I can’t retake it until October..

Taking REG at the end of Aug. I hate jumping back and forth between section material though

    AUD –

    REG –

    BEC – 74..

    FAR –

Do not appeal, it will only be a waste of your time and energy. Keep moving forward, you will get it.

I've never heard of an appeal being won.

Definitely a waste of time according to others I know who have tried appealing.

Don't appeal. A 74 most likely means you were in the bubble and it was reviewed by a human rather than a machine. That human probably determined your written response answers weren't sufficient enough for a 75. Good luck though, you'll get it!

There is a difference between a Score Review and a Score Appeal. The Review process is having them take a second look at your exam and make sure they used the right key code to score it. The Appeal process, however, requires you to fly to Tennessee, and you can pay to sit down and review questions you missed and challenge them – $100 a pop.

However, I concur with the census. I have never heard of anyone getting a score overturned, ever. Both are a waste of time, money, and most importantly, energy. Especially, as DDJunkie said, with BEC, since there's already a good chance your exam has already had an element of human grading.

Wow thank you everyone for your thoughts. I really appreciate it. Won't appeal, just pass it next time.
