Hi everyone, I took BEC back and September and didn't pass. That was my second time taking the test and i fel so discourage. I've been using Becker for the review, should I be using another review course for that section? I recently took FAR, waiting for my score, but it will be my third time if I don't pass this time around. Again, I feel like a failure. Anything anyone could recommend I would greatly appreciated. thanks

I took BEC and prepared for it using the Becker book … and failed. I retook it and used the Wiley book the second time… and I passed. I simply loved the way Wiley lays out the subject… esp for the Working Capital section… it made so much more sense… except the derivatives section they have an example on hedging and I couldn't read it at all…. it was horrific! I used the Becker book for the hedging and derivatives section… I passed the second time having prepared for 2 weeks. While I do believe that it is the individual and not the review materials that make a diff. I loved Wiley for BEC. Also I got a lot of similar questions on the actual exam that I practiced from the book. Don't feel discouraged… you are already studying and taking the exams – you can do it! 🙂

I took BEC 3 times and failed using Becker so I switched to Yaeger HS and got a 72 this time. Still failing but much closer than the Becker scores. I really needed someone to teach me Cost Acct and Cindy does a great job. I probably wold have passed but had an allergic reaction to some meds prescribed, couldn't move my test as my NTS was expiring and took it the day after a nasty migraine and demeral shot. ONLY thing I don't like about Yaeger is no online MCQs to practice the new format.

I'm in the same boat. I've taken BEC now twice and did not pass (loophole has confirmed a non-passing score but I have yet to receive my actual score). I ordered my 2011 BEC materials from Becker and am gearing up to sit yet again in January. I'm a little uncomfortable switching materials, because materials just seem to vary from person to person and really the Becker stuff has worked well for me.

Anyone have any other suggestions aside from switching materials to pass this beast in 2011?

I studied with the Yaeger Cram Video for BEC and I got a 71 with 5 days of studying (I had previously studied only using the Wiley book and I got a 62)… I deff recommend Yaeger for BEC, Cindy is an awesome instructor.. I bought the 2011 materials and they came in this morning… Can't wait to study!! (not)
