Hello Guys,
Is it possible to study BEC in 25 days and write the exam by the end of Aug 2010, if you studied 6-7 hours a day?
It is very possible. I spent about 3-4 weeks studying for BEC and I did fine. I doubt I spent as much as 6-7 hours per day studying either. It really comes down to how comfortable you feel with the material. A lot of the BEC material felt like review of my general business classes from college to me, so I was able to get through it rather quickly and without much difficulty.
I study for two solid weeks, using Becker, and passed the exam with a 75. Obviously not the best score but it's passing. It really comes down to how well you understand and retain the material.
Based off of what my friend said about studying for 2 weeks for BEC, I think you can definitely do it. Studying that much each day will make you completely prepared.
Thanks Guys!.I was planning to reschedule but with your feedbacks i am going to stick with the end of Aug and give a try.Fingers crossed!
I agree, its totally doable. Good luck!
I sure hope it's doable! I'm taking BEC with a study period of a little over 2 weeks. I've already watched all the lectures and now I am reviewing and working problems. 6-7 hours a day for 20+ days is enough time if you concentrate
It is absolutely possible! I studied for 2 weeks straight and passed with a 92! It was definitely a rough 2 weeks though.
I have 4 weeks to study for BEC. But my main problem is that I'm a slow reader. I don't know if that's enough time to study for BEC. Also, I'm waiting on AUD score, so that keeps my concentration a little disturbed.
Hello Guys,
Please tell/give me some tips to remember BEC when I study the material I feel I know everything but the next day I forgot everything and feel scared too as its been a long time for me to continue my studies after my Master's . Is the subject is really hard???? or can be cleared first time it self.
And is there's a possibility to join the online class (Becker) first and after a month I can join the live classroom as I feel it will be helpful for me on the basis of the gap I got in continuing my studies. And is there's a chance that I can attend online as well as live class one after another in a month gap.
Any suggestions will be appreciated and thanks in advance.....................
veena - I am in a similar situation...I finished my Master's 2 years before I sat for BEC. I am currently studying for it again - BEC IS A BEAST!!! I, too, am having a hard time remembering ALL the information, and some of it is so technical. Just read, read, and read some more, that's all I can really tell you. I read the first 3 modules in Wiley and I did okay on the Q's for the first 2...but when I got to the econ Q's it was miserable. Luckily that part of the exam is only about 10%. I just did the Q's last night, so tonight I will study the notes that I took and redo the questions...hopefully going through my notes and the concepts that I missed will help it to stick. The cost accounting section is the WORST! And I don't know what you're using to study, but I used Becker for the 1st time. I am now using Yaeger for my re-take of BEC. I think Becker did a great job for REG, but for BEC.................I was far from passing, so just sayin'....................
Thank you FL_CPA2010 for your suggestion. Right now I am using Becker's material as I am new to this country as well as to CPA also and I really don't know the difference between Becker and Yeager's material I am just like a new born baby learning the new culture and new people around me and accepting whatever comes in my way. And I think I will take some more time to adjust with it .
Just to follow up it is definitely possible if you study hard. Just got my score back. 90! I studied for about 2 weeks. Studied around 10-12+ hrs every day. Only 3 months out of college so everything was still fresh in my mind but it is possible. Good luck!!
