Hey guys! I’m having a really hard time absorbing the IT section. My exam is in less than 2 weeks….does anyone have any pointers on this section? any basic areas within IT that I must know before walking in….I’m trying to stick with what I’m good at instead of spinning my wheels =( and I’m not doing well in IT =(

I would really focus on internal controls within IT. Like segregation of duties for certain IT functions (developing, administration, etc.) change controls, user access roles, etc. I used Wiley, and the new 2011 book has alot more information on internal controls within IT than the 2010 version did.

I would second the internal controls on IT, and then say you should have a good working knowledge of IT terminology, such as server setups, WAN versus LAN, etc. Really you should know the whole Wiley 2011 IT chapter- all that info is relevant on the exam.

    AUD - 92
    FAR - 73, 82
    REG - 72, 82
    BEC - 84 DONE!!!!!! 🙂

i would suggest you studying everything and not worry abt whats focus more on the exam because you might start focusing more on that topic n neglect other areas….. i toook AUD the other day and the topics wiley and other areas focused on wasnt what the exam focused on… so to be safe know everything
