I am planning on taking BEC in the next few weeks studying FULL TIME starting right now. I understand this is a risk, but I am willing to take it. That being said, what topics should I focus on starting from Highest priority to lowest?

Here is my priority order so far:

    1) Information Technology

    2) Cost Accounting & Performance Measurement

    3) Economic Concepts & Strategy

    4) Corporate Governance, Internal Control & Enterprise Risk Management

    5) Financial Management & Capital Budgeting

    6) Decision Making

    7) Planning, Control & Analysis

Please let me know your thoughts on it. With 2 weeks and some change left, I just want to make sure I am focusing on the heavy hitters before others. I hope this will also help many others getting ready to take it. THANK YOU in ADVANCE!

I would also like to hear other's opinion on this as well. I'm taking the test in 2 weeks and have only gone through the first two chapters of Becker.

    AUD: 81!
    BEC: 75!
    FAR: 54, 74, 89!
    REG: 67, 86!

Im using Becker right now to study. B2 and B3 are hardest and most math intensive. But once you get the formulas, you should be good to go. Economics and IT are much more straight forward but you gotta know it well

    AUD-70, 71, 85
    BEC-63, 76
    REG-77
    FAR-76

Just took the exam. Move IT from #1 on your list to the bottom. Know everything else as well as you can.

    FAR- 92 (7/25/2014)
    AUD- 93 (8/30/2014)
    REG- 93 (10/10/2014)
    BEC- 91 (11/10/2014)

Using Becker self-study only. Working full-time.

I will have 2.5 days to study for BEC, hoping that will be sufficient.

@playonwards–your test was very different than mine. IT was definitely not at the bottom of the list of topics on my exam. In fact I stress it as one of the things to know when going into BEC. Just shows you how uniformed the CPA exam really is…

CPA Exam - Finally DONE (November 2014)
    BEC (08/10/13) 80
    AUD (08/24/13) 65 (11/13/13) 85
    FAR (04/12/14) 81
    REG (07/19/14) 69 (11/29/14) 87!!

So IT is up there and then it isn't. I think that it will need to be somewhere in the middle then. What about the rest of the order?

Seems pretty good. Every test is a bit different, so there's not really a definitive answer as to where IT falls. I'd probably put it somewhere around the middle if forced to rank. But the biggest topics, broadly speaking, are cost accounting, COSO frameworks, IT, and econ.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)

Looks like A LOT of people are trying to cram for BEC. I'm in the same boat. BEC at the end of November and I'm just now starting B3 MCQ's. Lot of work to do, but once it's over, I'll be able celebrate thanksgiving with style.

Count me in here. Exam in 13 days.

The CVP formulas are killing me. How well do these need to be known?

On my BEC exam, no. I didn't have any crazy computational questions. They were straight forward. But that is just my experience. Who knows how many versions of this exam the AICPA has floating around.
