Hi All I am takin BEC March 8th...any pointers??
Thanks
IT is 25% of BEC. Becker does not do a good job explaining IT. Therefore, answer ALL of the multiple choice questions on IT in the Wiley book. Additionally, read the entire section on IT in the Wiley book.
I am having fits over BEC still. I scored 81% and 73% on the Becker final reviews. I have an IT background so I am less scared of the IT stuff overall. I am close and have a reasonable chance of passing but don't feel confident at all like I did with AUD and REG.
I took BEC yesterday and feel the same- the test could have gone either way. I usually can tell whether I did well on a test but with BEC I wasn't sure. I do know that I got 2-3 questions wrong that I can actually identify as wrong (I had marked them for review and remembered them when I got home so of course I looked them up). And of those, one was not in any Becker material, one was in an addendum, and one I just forgot! I did have plenty of time. I worked through all the questions slowly and reviewed all of them, not just the ones I marked, and I still walked out 10 minutes early.
I really felt that they don't weigh the topics like they say they do. IT felt like half of my test! I'm really not kidding. I felt like cheering every time I got up to a calculation question.
@Dale-I scored similarly on Becker's final exams too..82 and 73...so I feel the same way too!
Dale - you should be fine on the actual exam with those scores, especially if you are comfortable with the IT section. I scored higher on my actual exam than I did on Becker. by a few points.
Good Luck!
For those who took the exam, or are taking it, how many of those equations and ratio's did you memorize? I'm studying w/ Yaeger and there are far too many for me to memorize, so I feel I am going to have to pick and choose the most important ones.
Hello! I am taking Regulations for my next exam. I am using Yaeger Cram , Wiley books and Becker (textbook). Can you give me insights on what to expect on the Regulation exam? Do I need to get more materials?
I was very fortunate to pass REG after only studying 2/3 of Yaeger's home study DVDs. I only knew taxes and I took very good notes on taxes. However, I did not study commercial law. I ran out of time studying. I just looked over Yaeger's notes on commercial law a few days before the exam.
go through the q's over and over.. mark the tough ones... read up on them.. keep going through them...
Thanks for the pointers.
Thanks!!!...planning to stay after work and listen to the BEC lecture- Chapter 5...one more week left ...soo not feeling ready...
