    I just took AUD yesterday and while waiting for the result I am planning for my next move. I only registered for FAR and AUD and I’m thinking not to register for the next two until I get my result for AUD. Anyway, what do you think should I take next, BEC or REG?

    you have already passed an exam so the time is ticking! I would take REG first because it has more material and get it out of the way then do BEC. Scores don't come out until November. However, if you think you failed AUD and might need a retake I would study for BEC and take it end of November- since it's shorter you won't need as much prep time. And study in DEC for the AUD retake and take it in January then move on to REG. But if you feel confident about passing AUD start studying for REG then BEC.

    Take REG. I'd recommend alternating the really crappy exams with the ones that are slightly shorter

    Passed - 2014

    am i doing it “wrong”? i passed FAR in August. Now im sutdying BEC for 11/12. hopefully i pass. I then want to take AUD in January and REG end of Feb. I have until 1st quarter 2016 to pass the other 3 parts. reason why im doing BEC this semester is cause im an undergrad- last semester- so i wanted to do something “light” while going to school so i figured i had the best chance of passing BEC while going to school.

    @CPAby2015-

    I'd take BEC- hands down. A month is more than enough time for BEC; however, it's cutting it close with REG.

    @jstay-

    You got the beast out of the way. You can take the exams however you feel confident taking them. Another “light” subject is AUD. I passed that with two weeks of studying (while working 50 hr weeks and I'm not an auditor). Take AUD over your Winter break and REG in the Spring and you'll be a CPA by the Summer.

    -chapman, reading your BEC experience gave me some confidence this morning

    -billbransky, when are you taking FAR?

    I'm taking it on November 26. This should be the last time.

    Fool me once, shame on FAR. Fool me twice, shame on me.

    Best of luck!!!

    how much time did you put in for BEC? was it while working full time?

    BEC- I studied for exactly four weeks while working full time. I did 2-4 hours a night from Monday through Friday nights and never studied on the weekends.

    AUD- Two weeks while working full time. I studied all-out for this one. 2-4 hrs a night on weeknights and 3-5 hrs per day on weekends.

    REG- three weeks for 1st attempt and three weeks for second attempt, both were 2-4 hours per weeknight with no time on weekends

    FAR- Didn't study at all for first attempt. Studied 2-4 hrs per night on weeknights for almost three weeks for second attempt. I got a little cocky with this one because I got lucky the first time around. I got a 73 without studying because I nailed the sims.

    To be quite honest- all the tests are relatively easy.

    The caveat is that one must be well prepared and it is difficult to find the time and or focus to properly prepare oneself

    wow, impressive. after this week ill have 2.5 weeks till exam day and no work so i should be able to put in atleast 4 to 5 days a week studying full time. im an intern so they want me to pass so taking off isnt a big deal. Much credit to anyone working full time and studying

    Thanks. It's not too bad working and studying, though. I'm 31 so I have all the partying out of my system at this point.

    I have to defer credit to those who have kids and are studying.

    Thanks for all your input. I initially plan on taking BEC then REG but it seems REG requires more attention than BEC so I'll probably switch them since the busy season at work starts after year end. I'm planning, on taking the next section early January, then next end of February. Then apply in public accounting afterwards which I believe just in time for busy season.

    CPAby2015-

    You can squeeze BEC in by the end of November- no problem. The material is fairly easy. You're looking at 4 weeks beginning to end on that one and that should yield you a solid score.

    I only applied for 2 sections so I need to pay another $125 to apply for the remaining 2 sections. However, I have to wait for AUD result before I apply so I can include it if I need to (I hope not!). It's still my goal though to knock down REG and BEC on the same testing window. I appreciate your suggestions!
