    Hi!

Kind of in a pickle as BEC was on 6/1/2016 and didn’t recognize several of the questions on the exam. I have used Becker and Yaeger in the past, and hated each of those courses as I couldn’t make it through the lectures.

Came across Ninja MCQ and fell in love with the no overhead style of learning and felt that it would prepare me going forward. After completing all 1,363 BEC questions, I felt ready to tackle the exam as my trending score was 80-85%.

Now I feel uneasy after taking the exam, and fear that I might have failed. That being stated, I have some questions…

1.) Is Ninja MCQ enough for the CPA exam, or should I supplement the course with WTB or…?

2.) I’m not an auditory learner, nor can I make it through video lectures, and I don’t learn by flash cards. I do learn from completing question after question, reading the book, and rewriting the notes. Is this enough?

3.) Are there other ancillary materials I should be viewing or looking at beyond the Ninja Book? Old college textbooks?

Any advice or stores are appreciated!

    Thank you!

Remember there are 12 questions out of the 72 that will not be counted toward your score. These could very well be the questions you did not recognize since they are “trial” questions. I personally think working with 2 test banks worked best for me. I used Becker and Ninja MCQs for BEC and REG and passed them both on the first try and my trending score was no where near yours. I have a similar learning style to you. I am using Roger and I will supplement Ninja MCQs for FAR.

    AUD - 77
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 80
    REG - 77

    1. Yes. Ninja MCQ is enough to pass the exam. See my sig.

    2. It's definitely enough. I'm not an auditory learner either – I knew this going in and didn't bother with videos. I learned the material by copying the Ninja Notes twice to get a baseline of knowledge, then did nonstop MCQs – and most importantly – took detailed notes on every MCQ I got wrong. I made sure I understood how to get to the correct answer before moving on to the next one.

    3. I'm a big fan of Ninja Notes.

    AUD - 91
    BEC - 85
    FAR - 91
    REG - 92

I've used ninja MCQ to help me pass REG and I found a lot of the questions were the same as Becker, so I think Ninja is enough.

I don't have a particular learning style, but what helped me with BEC was just to write everything out. BEC is difficult only in the sense that it's all just misc. material that doesn't really relate, so to me that was kind of hard because I like making connections. But if you just keep repeating MCQs and writing down stuff you can't remember that easily, you will be fine.

BEC doesn't have as hard of concepts as REG or FAR, so you can easily get away with just repetition.

    FAR - 76 Oct 2015 (Becker)
    REG - 87 Apr 2016 (Becker + Ninja MCQ) - 3rd time's the charm!
    AUD - 82 Feb 2016 (Becker)
    BEC - 85 May 2016 (Becker)

@wombataholic I was about to post a new thread re: BEC but I think I will just ask you this question directly since you seem to know what you are doing! I have passed FAR and AUD using BECKER and taking about 6-8 weeks for each to study. I have BEC scheduled for July 21st and haven't made much progress. My father was diagnosed with cancer….just had surgery Monday and he is going to be fine! Anyway, needless to say, that was a huge life interruption. How quickly do you think I could study for BEC and be ready to take the exam? Let's just say I have 40 hours a week to dedicate to it. I am okay with ditching Becker and using NINJA. Truthfully I am not a huge fan of Becker anyway- I am using it bc my company pays for it. What are your honest thoughts?

    FAR- 1/5/16 PASSED
    AUD- 4/18/16 PASSED
    BEC- 7/21/16
    REG- SEPTEMBER
