I've always scored significantly higher on exam day than my Becker Final Exam scores. With that being said I'm a firm believer that the exam process (especially with FAR SIMs) has a large luck factor. So… know that you have put in the necessary effort to prepare for the exam and walk into Prometric with confidence and intent on passing. We can do it, many have.

I got middle 70s on the two final exams for BEC. It doesn't matter what you scored, its what you do with that information. It is there to not only test your knowledge, but also to give you direction as to what your weak spots are. I got a 86 on the BEC exam.

Don't fall into the trap that people are scoring 10-12 points higher on the actual exam than the Becker Finals. That is bad information. You rarely see a passing score on Becker then a failing score on the actual because those people will not come forward (*most of the time).

***I think you will be fine with an additional three days. Take that second final as well after some review. It is much more brutal than the first.

I mean yeah it's what you do with the information. But the practice tests are really one of the only ways to gauge how ready you are. Tscape, the 10 point bump may be a trap (even though that's pretty much what you got..) but it carries some weight. If anything else it's good for a psychological boost.

@tptpa I agree with that as I'm in that population. Just don't want someone to fall into that trap. I've seen a posts out on the inter-webs of people confused why they didn't pass after scoring XX and XX on Becker so I never took it too seriously going into the testing center.

I'll amend my previous statement after reviewing my Becker scores, it was actually 77 and 69. I took #1 two weeks before the exam and #2 the Monday before (I tested Friday).

Yeah that makes more sense. You definitely can't rely on it and say why didn't I pass if i got a 65 average on my becker tests. More to the point OP, if you feel ready then i'd say that score is just fine. Personally, I would like to get my MC up a bit here in the next few days.

That's why it is important to know the concepts. We all fall into the trap of getting the homework MCQ's correct b/c we keep seeing that Q over and over.

The BECKER final tests help in that most of the Q's are new (compared to the Homework) so you can test your knowledge and not just your memory.

While I don't believe in the 10 point difference, I do feel the Becker SIMS are longer than the ones tested for the CPA. So that def. helps. If you can keep positive during your practice sims, you can keep positive during the test.

    -----------------------------
    BEC - 77, 03/2015 (first try)
    FAR - 79, 05/2015 (second try)
    REG - 83, 12/2015 (first try)
    AUD - 84, 03/2015 (first try)

I got 99 problems but the CPA ain't one.
