    Incorrect

    The answer is B. Comparable sales.

    “The use of comparable sales is not an income approach to valuation of a business, it is a market approach. Under the comparable sales approach, the value of a business is determined by comparing it to other entities with comparable characteristics for which the value is more readily determinable.”

    This was a tricky one

    Ninja is definitely worth it. I used Audio and flashcards1st time around. Should have used it a little more though but what I studied definitely added to my points. This time around I've purchased the Ninja MCQ and have found the questions more difficult than Wiley which I think is good.

    Can someone explain to me the relationship between variable & absorption costing? I understand that when inventory levels increase, absorption NI is higher than variable NI and vice versa but I dont really understand why that is.

    Variable costing is NOT GAAP

    Absorption costing IS GAAP

    In Variable Costing, fixed manufacturing overhead is treated as a period cost instead of a product cost. Since all fixed overhead is expensed immediately in the period instead of when the good is sold, expenses are higher. This results in lower net income.

    and to add to what VLC posted…

    When inventory at the end of period increases (and on the balance sheet waiting to be sold) NI will be higher because the fixed costs that are expensed out completely under variable costing are now included with the units that are sitting in inventory (waiting to be sold at a later date, in the next period, etc.).

    NJ.. Have you tried to reprint? I never received my NTS from NASBA but went to the website and selected to reprint and was able to schedule my test the day after I paid.

    @Casa – yes I have and I haven't received anything.. just gave them a call and apparently I have to wait another week. Apparently, when you purchase your exam, you have to wait 3-5 business days from the time it hit the queue. I purchased it on 6/9 and it hit the queue end of day 6/11. The woman said I should have it by next Wednesday. I'm so aggrivated.

    @Casa

    What information you put in for reprint NTS? I couldn't print from NASBA. It says they submit mine on the June 11th. I haven't received my email yet which I usually receive the next day I applied.

    Yeah, that's weird. I just paid yesterday afternoon around 3:00 and received my NTS at 8:06 this morning. I'm an Indie state, but on another board, someone said you could go into NASBA and do a reprint to get your NTS. Are you an NASBA state?
