    @h0wdyus

    Incorrect

The answer is B. Comparable sales.

“The use of comparable sales is not an income approach to valuation of a business, it is a market approach. Under the comparable sales approach, the value of a business is determined by comparing it to other entities with comparable characteristics for which the value is more readily determinable.”

    This was a tricky one

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 76
    REG - 92

Yes, I used Gleim for all the sections, but I do supplement with other materials.

My problem has been the written communication, I need to work on that.

I think with the adaptive learning function of Ninja MCQ you have to make it random. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the whole point of adaptive learning is to test your weaknesses.

Haha…yeah…I'm re-watching lectures, doing Wiley book problems, Wiley TB and then Ninja. At the end, I will review the problems I answered incorrectly. Hopefully that will do the trick šŸ˜‰ I still have people asking my grade..so depressing having to tell them I missed by 2 points!!!

Casa- if it makes you feel any better, I failed by 2 points too…I was in the dreaded BEC bubble the first time I took it. I immediately reapplied for my NTS and took it as soon as the window opened up (like on Jan 3rd) and only studied for 5 days and raised my score by 10 points. You'll get it this time!

Will someone please help me solve this question? Im lost…

A manufacturing company is preparing the schedules that comprise its master budget. The forecasted production in units of finished goods for the first four months of the coming year are as follows:

    Month

    Production (in units)

    January

    400,000

    February

    380,000

    March

    420,000

    April

    440,000

Additional details regarding inventory requirements and direct material purchases are as follows. The company pays for the direct material purchases in the month of the purchase and takes all discounts.

    Item

    Requirement

Month-end direct materials inventory requirement 25% of the next monthā€™s production requirements

Direct material required per unit of finished good One (1) pound of direct material

Invoice price (cost) of direct material $5 per pound

Purchase terms for direct material 2/10, n/30

The cash that would be required to pay for direct material purchases during the month of February would be

    $1,813,000

    $1,862,000

    $1,911,000—correct answer

    $1,950,000

    Sure:

they already have .25 of what they need on hand (purchased in january).

so they need to buy the rest for february (.75) * 380 000.

then they need to buy .25 of march so (0.25) * 420 000

    each one of those costs 5 bucks so (5)*(.75*380000 + .25 * 420000) = 1 950 000 = cost without discount

    finally they take the discount (.02) so they actually pay (.98)*cost without discount= .98 *1950000= 1 911 000

    @ Cannot pass again

I do 10 MCQ at a time and write down an index card anything that i think i want to look at again. I have a notepad to do calculations but I do not re reference those notes. My index cards are not flash cards, they are notes. I shuffle them up and look through them

I only do ten questions at a time, i like breaking it up like that. I look at the result focus on why I missed anything then I do another section of 10.

works for me something else might work better for others.
