    did you know that:

Managers must weigh the benefit of reducing loss or inefficiency against the cost of the controls. They should not implement controls without first understanding whether any benefits of implementing these controls outweigh the costs. Although management can solicit recommendations from the internal auditor, it is not a requirement.

    did you know that:

A corporation is permitted to enter into a contract for services or goods with a board member (director). This type of a transaction is called a “related-party transaction.” This action could be seen by shareholders as preferential treatment to the director who receives the contract, and it could be interpreted as a lack of due care on the part of the directors in carrying out the corporation's business.

In a previous thread that I found months ago, I saw Future Ninja doing the “did you know routine” for FAR I believe that was literally like a page long LMFAO. So I started going around my house doing that to my family HAHA

@Blackhawks — Thanks on the congrats. With REG, honestly, I think it's about:

    a) getting a bit lucky with the SIMs. I've heard horror stories about some of the SIMs in REG as they have a reputation for the worst ones, even over FAR.

    b) working MCQs in repetition. People always tend to preach this concept and it's for good reason. Your brain starts to notice fact patterns in the way questions are worded so you're quickly able to interpret what it is you're being asked to do. Clearly you don't have the luxory of this concept w/ SIMs. You can practice them all you want to hone in and sharpen your knowledge on particular concepts but SIMs can be formatted and asked in a million different ways. Thus why SIMs are so difficult and thus why I never practice them.

    c) just put in the time. You don't really need any advice. You passed FAR on the first try which is what a lot of people can't say. You have a very high chance of passing next time. Odds are in your favor.

@Bobcat87 lol thanks! How is BEC going for you so far? Where are you at in the material?

The only difficulty I've experienced so far has been the variance costing from B2, specifically fixed/variable overhead SEV mnemonic. B3 has been fun so far and B1 felt a lot like a mix of advanced AUD.
