Ya I am not sure, but am curious now!

Hahaha oh ya Saturday night fun over here, am going to wind down now. I have had a pretty productive day doing mostly ninja mcq and plan to do that the next few days when I can while looking over notes and some becker. I am going out of town next weekend on Thursday so am trying to be as productive as I can until then!

I hope studying is going well for you. It sounds like you are on top of it and I think you have got through the hardest material!

@lauren That's what happened to me the last two weekends, I went out of town back to back and it screwed my schedule up. 🙁 Trying to make up lost ground today though. I'm working the second half of B3 questions today and then the optional questions. I hate how back labels the questions as optional but counts it against you if you don't do them and then your homework percentage suffers. But whatever, that's why there are 15 hours left in the day, right??

Good luck studying today everyone! Go Cowboys! 🙂

Yep, I have never really had time to do all the optional questions except for my audit retake. Going to try to get them in this time. Here is to a productive day! Good luck everyone!

I plan on the second or third week in Oct. Still waiting on my NTS. I would just say to practice the questions over again and just keep doing what you are doing. I honestly had a hard test with a lot of calculations, I know not all tests are like that but mine was quite stressful. I think more MCQ practice would have helped me out, just being able to work the questions faster. Chapter 1-2 of becker just don't come easy for me and that was my weakness. Hoping to improve my weaknesses this time around!

For the writing, I think the more you know about the topics the easier it will be to answer. I plan on doing some and reviewing some but not spending a ton of time on them.

Completed 111 questions today scored 84% on B3.2 if you will. Going for 114 more options questions at the end of B3. I hate seeing only 64% done when the rest of questions are “optional”!!

Just starting my studying for BEC today, my test is October 20th. Does anyone have any suggestions for studying? I have heard just doing m/c questions for this exam will be sufficient to pass. Any advice would be great.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Determining the appropriate level of working capital for a firm requires:

    a. Maintaining short-term debt at the lowest possible level because it is generally more expensive than long-term debt.

    b. Maintaining a high proportion of liquid assets to total assets in order to maximize the return on total investments.

    c. Offsetting the benefit of current assets and current liabilities against the probability of technical insolvency.

    d. Changing the capital structure and dividend policy of the firm.

The answer is c; however, can someone explain to me what technical insolvency is?

I am getting slightly panicked….2 weeks out and I am still having trouble with variances.

What formulas does everyone else use? Becker uses “PURE DADS” which isn't doing much for me…I even youtubed a video about variances…which helped some but would love some input.

    *needs to remember to breathe*

    Happy Studying 🙂

BEC is so terrible, and Peter's lecture on average have to be at least an hour longer than Tim's in previous sections.

    FAR - 93 - 7/1/14
    AUD - 94 - 7/25/14
    REG - 92 - 8/30/14
    BEC - 89 - 10/6/14

Gabe, I have been looking at this stuff for months and variances still get me. I can't offer much more help other than moral support and that you will get through this!! 🙂 The DADS mnemonic helps me out remembering the formula's and working some of the questions but I still get hung up on when they are more complicated.

NJ happy studying to you too. The question you posted makes me choose C just because the other options sounds wrong, does the back of becker's book define technical insolvency? Those fancy IT terms kill me!

Thanks @Lauren…will be working on variances during lunch today, so I might post some I am having troubles with.

@NJ I also chose C because I weeded out the other ones…sometimes that's the only way I can get to the correct answer.
