Here is a much easier way.

Think about this, what will happen if sell 10,000 more unit?

That is fix expense won't change which you don't need to worry about.

variable selling expense increase by 10,000 (1X10000).

Gross profit increase by 30,000 (110000- 80000)

So income increase 20,000

What do you guys think is the best approach for time management? Becker recommends giving 40-45 minutes for the Written Communications section, was wondering what you guys thought, given personal experience.

@Lauren, Just becker, my notes, Ninja audio, and some Wiley this time. Didn't do as much as for the first time. I feel if I get questions on what I know I can pass. Trying not to stress. Exam tomorrow 9am.

@Young, Written communications took me about 25-30 min total and I got comparable. Everyone is different. My advice would be use whatever time you have left for essays to plan, write, and review.

I would say 45 minutes max….definitely not longer…..if you write faster 30 should suffice. I've BSed the WC on both my tests and gotten Comporable on both. Focus on your MCQ…don't worry so much about WC.

Can someone please show me the steps involved in solving an expected value question?

Also for joint production questions please tell me if this is correct:

Sales value at Split-off method: (Product A x Price per A) + (Product B x Price per B) = Total Cost. Then take which ever they ask for / Total cost and multiply that by the joint cost?

NRV: (Product A Sell price – Product A Separable Cost) + (Product B Sell Price – Product B separable cost) = Total after sales value. Take whichever they ask about/ Total. Take that and multiply by shared cost?
