I wanted some advice from others. I just took BEC for the second time and made a 67. I have been studying with BISK, but maybe I need different material?
I spent a lot of time, and I did improve on my score from the first time but not enough. Has anyone studied with Yaegar or Becker or Bisk? Preferences?

offlineMemberI used Becker. I scored 74, then 80. BEC is not any easier just because it is only MC. Did you get a score report for you last test to see where you are weak? In Becker, I remember most people have trouble with the material in Chapters 3 and 5 (finance and cost if I remember correctly). The IT stuff can be difficult as well if IT is completely foreign to you. Plus IT is supposedly the most heavily tested section along with cost. You have to memorize all the formulas for BEC. There are like 60 of them and I hate memorization, but when the question comes up and all you have to do is drop numbers into a formula, those are easy points to win, also easy to lose if you don't know the formula.

offlineadminYaeger videos teach out of the Wiley books. They take the Wiley material and weed out what you don't need to know and make it so that you actually don't need to read the book...just watch the videos...takes notes...work MCQs.

offlineMemberNo, you need to know the concepts too for cost. But if you don't know the formulas you'll miss out on easy points. Most people hate memorization, but its necessary for this exam.
I agree with Jeff, if you watch the video along with the text, the instructors highlight what you need to know. Sitting there and studying directly form the book probably covers too much material...

offlineadminrhiania80 - I failed BEC 3x before I bought Yaeger and then I passed with an 80.
I got back to back 74s on REG...got the Yaeger REG HomeStudy and scored a 92.
I had to re-pass FAR and got the Yaeger FAR HomeStudy and passed with a 76.

My first credit expires May 2010. I am determined to get it done by the end of the year or January. Can you tell me how long you studied yaegar for both?
