    Ok so I start BEC studying on Monday (if I can stay away from the materials I got today as I just want to finish this exam already!) thinking of either sitting for the exam february 21st or 28th… My REG course starts on the 28th, however, if I find out I have to retake AUD feb 3rd I won’t be taking REG I’ll be studying for AUD and retaking that and then doing REG…

    How much time would you say is adequate to study BEC? I know people have said don’t underestimate it so I want to make sure I don’t!

    I started studying for BEC on the 12/07/11… I was planning on taking it on 01/09/12… I had to delay it of course due to the holidays and family compromises to the 16th… Then last week I had to delay it again to the 23rd (next Monday), both paying prometrics fee for date changes… I was not finished with the book and had not started reviewing… Still today I have not finished the book… But I will take it on Monday. I can't keep on delaying it because I have REG scheduled for Feb. 28 and my NTS expires in mid March… Unless there is a way I can extend my NTS… (I don't know if that is even possible) In my opinion, out of the three that I have studied for; BEC has been the hardest one… If you are using BECKER 2011 material… That chapter three is the hardest one I have had…

    But one month should be perfect if you schedule it and stick to that planned itinerary… Good luck

    @jokami – I got the Becker 2012 materials today not sure how much different it is from 2011 I've heard they've added a chapter to every book… your BEC studying sounds like my AUD studying time definitely difficult to study during holidays exactly why I just ended up taking it yesterday! Good luck on Monday! Nope no extending your NTS have to take your exams before that expires!

    @givemesleep – how long did you study for BEC?

    @Ashely,

    I started Monday with BEC too, scheduled for Feb 19th, with no option to move it 😉

    I am now watching B2 lectures (using Becker 2011). I will be studying 20-25 hours per week.

    As long as you follow your study plan you should be good. I downloaded Jeff's “Ninja Study Planner” and he recommends 80 hours of studying for this exam.

    Good Luck!!!

    Done 😉

    I think 4 weeks is enough for BEC becuase it has many many topics,so the more weeks you study the more you have to go back and refresh. Hit it real hard for 4 weeks then bang it out while it's fresh. If you do 6 weeks, it's just two more weeks of torture.

    You know, I only studied about 2 or 3 weeks for BEC, but that was by far the easiest exam for me…not because I'm like some cpa exam savant or anything, but it was just a medley of my favorite topics. I double majored in ACC/CIS, taught an intro to managerial (cost) accounting course, and almost majored in Finance AND Economics because of how much I liked them. So for me, I actually really enjoyed studying for BEC, but if you're weak in one or more areas covered on the exam, you really shouldn't underestimate the difficulty of the questions; you're probably better off taking the extra week to study. But if you really enjoyed those subjects in school too, and you have strong proficiency in them, you definitely won't need the extra week. You really need to judge for yourself. Good luck!

    I'm only half way through B2 and I am having a much harder time with this than either AUD or FAR!
