    Hello Ninjas,

I took BEC last week (May 29-2014) and now waiting for the results which i am nervous… I am nervous because I dont know if I pass… the reason is that as you guys know the difficulty of the testlets varies depending on your performance… my experience was that 1st testlet is medium (which i am 95% sure i got most of the questions correct) but when I saw Teslet 2 was super hard (by hard I mean questions were longer, there were a lot of the questions that were longer and had more distractor information, etc) which that one I don’t know how i did it! the 3rd testlet was easy, and i think i got the 75%-80% correct (by easy I mean shorter questions) that’s why I am concerned- I am very frustrated since BEC is my last exam I want to pass it (i have failed it twice)… 🙁

Can anyone tell me if there is a possibility I pass?

    FAR- PASSED

    AUD- PASSED

    REG- PASSED

    BEC- 71,71, waiting 🙁

It's tough to tell! But I bet you did as Determined CPA mentioned. Coming out of the testing center, I thought I failed but ended up getting 79! Not an amazing score but hey I passed =) Stay positive!!!

I took the exam on 5/30 and had the exact same experience as you – that second testlet was the WORST testlet I've had in any of the tests (I've taken FAR, AUD and BEC). Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Same experience here. The 2nd testlet was super hard. I marked 12.

I took the exam on the 31st…..I felt like the 2nd and 3rd teslets were harder than the first, but not HARD……either I did horrible and they never ramped up, or I knew the material well enough to not be phased by them.

The more I sit here and stew, and read your guys posts I begin to think I bombed the exam, but I felt good about it……I know I got one question wrong by making a stupid mistake, but other than that I felt good. Didn't mark any and finished each MCQ testlet in 20-30 minutes each.

I really hope I passed, it is really going to hit me hard if I failed, but I am guessing I did.

@bernhardt, you can never tell with this exam. It didn't seem like my difficulty level really changed with AUD and I received my highest score on that.

bernhardt – I feel the same way! My BEC second and third testlet weren't that hard in the sense that the questions were long but they were topics that seemed off base. I don't check this site as often once I take an exam because I get very discouraged when I see others who had a hard testlet and I didn't. Good news for us – I didn't feel like my reg or audit testlets got harder. That's all I keep saying to myself!

Reading all your posts scares me about BEC!! 🙁

I began studying yesterday so I would be taking it on July late or August.

    Any advices?

I don't recall which thread I read this in but whoever said it was very right – the tricky thing with BEC is it has relatively simple concepts but phrase questions in a way where it doesn't directly ask you for that concept but you have to back into it, if that makes any sense. Instead of giving you X and you solving for Y, they will give you information to solve for X, then you use that to solve for Y. Or, they give you Y and solve for X.

I think my best advice would just be to understand (not memorize) those concepts inside and out, backwards and forwards.
