BEC- Well it just hit the fan and I need some advice STAT!

    I apologize if this is in the wrong board! Long story short, working full time and studying leads to me forgetting that Becker expires 18 months after logging in for the first time and I was abruptly reminded of this fact last night when I no longer had any online materials to study with. I’m so done with Becker anyway, this may be a blessing?

    So – after freaking out – I remembered this forum and NINJA and I think NINJA will be my best bet.

    I have 2 weeks until I sit for BEC on 07/15/16 – I had about a chapter and a half left in Becker (part of Chapter 2 on budgeting/variance analysis, and chapter 3 on financial management). My question is, how much trouble do you think I’m in, and also if 2 weeks is enough to get through all of the MCQs.

    I’m also torn on whether I should just buy the Notes and the MCQs or if I should buy the Blitz package in case I don’t pass. I’m planning on buying Ninja today and hitting the material hard over the holiday weekend.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    First I would email Becker to see if you can get an extension at least through your BEC test. They usually only ask for proof of your Scheduled exam. This will allow you to finish your review through the book at least, and then I would recommend buying the Ninja MCQ and hammering those out until your trending around 80-90%. Doing this will set you up to be more prepared I would think.

    REG: 84 (10/5/15)
    AUD: 83 (11/23/15)
    BEC: 77 (2/27/16) - The bubble sucks
    FAR: 90 (7/20/16) - AND DONE FOREVER!!!!!

    If you have the Becker books you can just use those. They are pretty self explanatory in those sections considering most of it is calculations. If this is one of your last exam and you're paranoid I would buy some of the extra things. Small price to pay to finish the CPA for good.

    FAR = 86 4/22/16
    BEC = 80 6/01/16
    REG = 07/26/16
    AUD = ?

    I would just buy Ninja MCQ and crush those for 2 weeks.

    Ninja MCQ was my main study source for BEC. I worked Ninja MCQ for about 3 weeks very heavily.

    AUD - 78
    BEC - 77
    FAR - 76
    REG - 80
    Texas CPA

    BEC - 77 (5/16)
    AUD - TBD (8/16)
    REG - 80 (1/16)
    FAR - 76 (8/15)

    Titleistg0lfer – That's a good idea, I'll try it but I think I'll go with the Ninja MCQs too.. I'm afraid of wasting precious time waiting on their response.

    Mehow – I do have the books and my outlines which are good but it's the MCQs that I really need.

    DTBird, thanks for the advice!

    Thanks you guys, I think I will go with the MCQs and maybe the Blitz package to maker sure I'm not missing anything.

    Just a word of warning, Ninja MCQ's for BEC are something else. If you aren't doing well on them at first, don't get down on yourself, just keep chugging away. You're probably fine if you only have chapter 2 left to study anyhow, but I don't want you to be demoralized after hitting NInja haha

    Good luck! In comparison to Becker, I think Jeff does a much better job of covering IT.

    tuanxn – Thanks a lot for the heads up, I'll keep that in mind! I'm not sure what Ninja's MCQs are like compared to Becker but I'll keep an open mind.

    I decided to go ahead and buy the MCQs and also the Blitz and I have a new motivation to pass this thing!

    Thanks again guys!

    I have to agree with Tuanxn about IT portion of NINJA. I am an IT illiterate and yet when I work/answer on IT part combined with learning/writing the references, information just clicks to me for some reason.

    I have a question about NINJA MCQs. What would you recommend if after initially answering/seeing all the MCQs, my average score is at 60% only or below? As I keep working on troubled/missed questions, would my average improve in the long run? Should I reset if the average is too low?

    FYI: Becker changed the one time extension policy if you show them you're scheduled exam. It changed last month.

    Now you can get a 3 month extension- but it's $199 Per section I believe.

    License Extension:
    Current Becker students that require additional course access in order to prepare for an upcoming exam may purchase a three month license extension for $199. The three month extension will be added to the license expiration date for a total of 21 months of access.

    One license extension available per CPA Exam Review Course order.
    License extension are nontransferable and must be purchased before course access expires.
    Should a student also have access to mobile Flashcards, Final Review and/or Supplemental MCQs, the purchase of a course license extension will also extend the expiration date of Extra Help products.
    Refund Policy – A full refund (less any applicable savings and fees) will be issued within 10 days of initial purchase. After expiration of original 18-month course license, no refund will be issued.

    R- 75
    B- 76
    A- 80
    F- Scheduled 5/28/2017

    REG- Passed
    BEC- Passed
    AUD -Failed - Retake in October
    FAR- Scheduled 8/1/2016
