BEC – Went from 53 to 73…How do I increase my score by 2 points? :( :(

Just saw that I scored a 73. I definitely studied harder this time around with Ninja MCQ. Am I on the path to passing? Did I receive a crappy exam (I studied IT hardcore and saw 1 question on the actual exam)? Can anyone that scored in between 70-75 tell me how I should approach studying for BEC to increase my score by 2+ points? How much time should I put into studying for BEC this time around considering I received a 73 and am VERY close to passing? I am taking REG in January and will re-take BEC in February.

This really sucks and is discouraging but I am still motivated…Your advice is GREATLY appreciated! 🙁

It is typical that the exam focuses on some matters and not others (which you may have studied extensively). Your next exam may be the exact opposite.

Study until you can pass the practice exams. No one can know (or tell you) how long that takes.

Try Yaeger ,Cindy is awesome instructor . If you know IT and corporate governance then cindy is best for the rest of module.
listen two times her video and you are good to go just with the wiley book and ninja mcq's specially for the IT and ECO part.

You'll get it next time. Start from scratch when you study, don't trick yourself into thinking you need 2 more points, you actually need 75 more points. I believe people equating refresher with retake is a major reason (not the only reason) you even see scores drop from one retake to the next.

I just failed BEC for the second time, I totally agree with mla11692. My first attempt I made a 74, this last time a 68. It is my last section and I am beyond done!

Besides the pressure of my job and raising 4 kids, I know I didn't study to pass the test, I studied to get a point to be at 75. After my crying and disappointment at 1 am this morning, I decided to suck it up and start over. I am resetting everything and getting rid of all notes. Starting from scratch!

    Good luck!

Thank you everyone! Looks like I will reset my Ninja MCQ and start from scratch. I plan on taking REG in mid January so I am studying for that at the moment. I will start studying for BEC around mid January and schedule it for late February. Hopefully I can pass this time

“…don't trick yourself into thinking you need 2 more points, you actually need 75 more points.”

^^This x 1,000,000. Many people fail multiple times because they think they are “so close”. You may be, but you could have just as easily guess right a few times and got up to a 73 when your true knowledge of all the material was closer to a 70 or lower.

Study like you never took it before, so you never have to take it again.
