I’ve been using the 2011 Wiley CD ROM test bank and am looking to make up 1 point. Since I’ve memorized so many of the questions for BEC on my current test bank, is getting the 2013 a good idea? $85 is reasonable, but I’d want more questions rather than just small updates.

    Thoughts? Thanks!

    REG - 68 | 71 | 88 | 86
    FAR - 72 | 74 | 79
    AUD - 66 | 70 | 77
    BEC - 62 | 74 | 80

    Guess that means I'm a soon-to-be CPA!

That 2011 software was made in 2010.

Was 2011 or 2012 the year BEC swamped some stuff with REG … I forgets.

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 76
    REG - 92

How are you with studying by the book? You can get the Wiley books on Amazon for about $40. And for me I needed the Wiley book explanations to get me through some topics for BEC when I was coming back from a 74. It worked for me!

Jeff, it was 2011 that REG & BEC had a major overhaul so I think he is good with those topics.

CA CPA - All because of the journey listed below

    BEC - 58('10), 74('12), 01/05/13 77 PASSED!!!
    AUD - 43('11), 66('12), 69('13), 74('13) 7/29/13 85 PASSED!!!!!

As far as the book goes, I've read through Roger but not Wiley. Reading isn't my cup of tea. That said if I'm struggling in an area Roger's book feels short and I sometimes miss some bigger details.

Sounds like 2011 material is probably fine. Thanks guys.

I am using the 2011 BEC Wiley book, and it does not have business entities in it. It has Corporate Gov instead, so it was prior to 2011 book.

    @Jsmi77y

I have the test bank online, and some but not all of the questions are different than the ones in my 2011 Wiley book. Also a couple of other free sources are cpareview for free has a website with free questions, and prior years AICPA released questions.

Here are the 2013 questions released.

    REG - Aug 30,13 Pass
    BEC - Oct 26,13 Pass
    FAR - Dec 4,13 Pass

Yeah, 2010 was the last year (old school style). All the new exam structure changed in 2011. There have been updates though. So, if you haven't got the info on the updated material since 2011 let me know and I'll write up more info.

Don't buy a new text book for the questions only. Just go do homework at Barnes and Noble or check it out at your library. It has a lot of the exact same questions as 2011. You may want to look into an ebook version of 2013. Google it. I am referencing an ebook for more questions. Corp. Gov. added about 20 questions. I haven't compared the other chapters yet, as I'm just getting to the homework.

I have the same issue like you. I took BEC and got a 70. August is my last chance to pass before REG expires and so I have collected a lot of MC from different sources and I am also worried that I have memorized all of them. I was looking into buying new MC. I was looking into buying Wiley or Gleim and I just bought Gleim for $90 which includes 1800 MC and book. So far I like it. I have seen many MC that I havent seen before.
