I only watched the CPAexcel videos for my first exam (AUD) and then never watched a single one again. I was so bored with them in AUD that I pretty much just zoned out while they were talking. I realized the videos were just a waste of my time and I wasn't really learning much through them anyway. So while I don't specifically know which “guy” you're talking about for the BEC videos, I definitely agree that the CPAexcel videos in general are the most boring thing ever!!

Did you learn enough from the book alone? I am having trouble with some of the BEC material since i hated economics in college. Any tips on how to tackle this?

    FAR - Passed 4/2016
    AUD - Passed 11/2015
    REG - ?
    BEC - 05/28/2016

I strongly suggest adding Ninja MCQs for BEC. I was struggling with BEC after just going through the CPAexcel material (book & MCQs), so I added Ninja MCQs to my study plan and believe that's what helped me pass. I think the last two weeks before the exam is when I bought the Ninja MCQs, and that's pretty much all I did leading up to the exam. Don't waste too much time trying to understand the questions with the really detailed, complex calculations. And definitely take the time to understand the IT material and COSO. When is your exam?

I think you'll find the Ninja material to be really helpful. You have plenty of time left…I, too, was feeling pretty lost and hopeless until probably the last week or so before my exam. Best of luck!

I used CPA Excel for awhile and supplemented with NINJA material. I agree those videos are boring and when I was studying for FAR I couldn't get over the lady in the videos BIG PINK jewelry. Like how am I suppose to concentrate on what you are saying starring at the distraction. I now use solely NINJA material. I love Jeff and the way he presents the material. I actually find myself remember good chunks of lectures I listened to days later and that is not a strong suit of mine. The MCQ's also do a great job of explaining answers your get wrong, something I feel other platforms lack.
