It seems like a lot of people on here talk about how they nailed a WC or had one that they feel like they didn’t know at all. I’m confused, the Wiley book and my review material both say that the WC’s are graded primarily for writing skills and “relevance” to the issue at hand but the technical accuracy isn’t as heavily graded as the writing skills portion.

Thoughts?

Also curious if anyone has feedback on how much time to leave for WC’s… one person has said 30-45 minutes is good, any agreements/disagreements?

No thoughts on the content really, as I've only taken it once, but as far as time: I had 65 mins for them and that was almost the perfect amount. I spent about 10 minutes at the start looking through them, deciding which was going to be the hardest and easiest. Then I made little outlines and buzzword lists for each.

Then I started writing, going from hardest to easiest. I wish I had 5ish more minutes at the very end to give my 3rd response a little more time and give them all a once-over, but I didn't. But I did complete them all 100%.

REG - 65, 70, 80!
BEC - 35, 62, 79!
AUD - 73, 75!
FAR - 65, 73, 70, 75! DONE.

You want to complete all of them for sure. It was not all that bad. You just need to make sure you have 3 paragraphs for each and BS through everything. I don't think they really grade you on the content. You might want to add technical terms in there just in case.

I left 1 hour and 15 mins for the WC. I thought it was plenty of time until I barely finished all three with 3 seconds to spare.

Plan your time accordingly.

In my opinion, the MCQs are way harder. I did not study at all for the WC. And English is my second language. If I can pass, you will too :)!
