So I gave myself 3 weeks to conquer BEC and surprisingly have gotten done more than what I anticipated. However, I haven’t really gone into any written communication’s yet and I have a few questions for those of you that have.

Any idea how long each response should be?

I assume there is no AL to help you?

Seeing some of the answers in the Wiley book makes me worried about the depth of which you need to understand the topics in order to be able to respond in a direct way. Or is the gist of the topic sufficient?

Any suggestions on the best way to study for this. Wiley says to practice, but I think I’m a good technical writer so I assume I only need to know the topic to be able to answer properly.

    Thanks for answer/reply in advance!

You really just need to be able to write correctly. Grammar and spelling are more important than content. If you don't know the topic, just say “I am not well versed on this subject. I will research the topic and contact you before Friday with an answer.”

The WC is a test of your writing and communication skills.

@Kricket, thanks for that. If its anything like the written part of the GMAT, then I should be fine. I scored 5's and 6's on that. Too bad it didn't count toward my score!

@Topsya – we will see. I've averaged about 30 hours a week so far and in the last week I'm hoping to do 40. I want to see if cramming will be sufficient enough to get me through this.
