Becker Question –

Well, the headline says it all. I signed up for the live classes (although I’m iffy about if I love or hate them) and my Audit classes start tomorrow. However, I am still studying for FAR which I plan to take in Jan and AUD later in the testing window, since I figure it will be easier (I have two years experience in audit now).

So I want to get some advice on if you guys think its a good idea to attend my classes while studying far, and only worry about the lectures until FAR is done with, or if I should wait until I can give it my full attention.

Personally, I feel like you would be wasting your time attending if you are focusing on FAR. You wont be studying at home or really holding in any of the info. I would see if they will let you reschedule or switch to the self study.

Don't add anything while studying FAR – your brain's gonna be overloaded anyway.

Is it the same live course where you go somewhere to watch the lectures? I thought it was a waste and switched to self study.

Yes that is exactly it, and I feel the same. It all moves so fast that I'm constantly playing catch up and having to drive an hour immediately after work, having an energy drink for dinner and sitting still for four hours while someone talks at me as fast as possible just wasn't cutting it. I might go back for REG as my professor is helpful pinpointing what is very likely to be on the exam. But for me, two hours into the class and I can't stop staring at the clock….I'd rather be in the comfort of my home where I can rewind when I want.
