Today in class, my Becker instructor recommended completing chapter 10 before chapter 8 and 9. Does anyone who’s already completed FAR using Becker recommend doing this? I’ve never gone out of order before.

    AUD - 89 07/02/14 (Becker practice exam: 74, 83)
    REG - 92 08/18/14 (Becker practice exam: 75, 84)
    BEC - 83 10/03/14 (Becker practice exam: 83, 70)
    FAR - 91 11/24/14 (Becker practice exams: 64, 77)

i would say it doesnt really matter, up to you. some girl i work with ran out of time, skipped F10and still passed (wouldnt recommend it.) i believe that i went in order. have you taken a gov't NFP course?

Also, i see you just took BEC, im taking it 11/12..any pointers/tips?

my first becker exam averaged 75 for the 3 testlets. are your practice exams weighted or is it just the average?

Doesn't matter the order. Definitely don't skip, even if you only get a chance to skim over the material last minute.

I would do 8 and 9 first. Those are tested heavily and so it will take longer to master. To me 10 was a “skim” chapter which I did the day before the test. I got questions on it but not a ton (like I did with 8 and 9). And there was only one related to it that I had no idea on. I wouldn't skip 10 though. Definitely quick, valuable points.

F10 repeated a lot of questions from other topics. I wouldnt skip it but i would get through 8 and 9 first.

    REG - 63,74,70,81!!!
    FAR - 44,73, 81!!!!
    AUD - 51,81!
    BEC - 73,77!!

3 years later and I'm officially done. Never give up no matter what!

ok thanks for all the advice guys!

@jstay, my advice for BEC is make sure you know that IT chapter! I could not believe some of the questions they asked me about on the exam. Focus on the entire chapter, not just what Becker highlights lol. For my grade, i just assumed a 75 avg on my writing parts lol, but if you scored a 75 on the mc, i think your definitely ready.

Chapters 8 and 9 (Government and NFP Accounting) are MUCH more important than Chapter 10. It really doesn't matter what order you do them in but do NOT skimp on F8 and F9.

Agreed. Chapters 8 and 9 are super important. Guaranteed to be on the exam. Something like 16-20%. There's a good chunk of point value in there.

4Q is a rough Q – you want any advantage you can get. at least watch the lectures or read it and when you do progress tests questions will slip in there for exposure

    A - 75
    B - 78 God is good.
    F - 77 Answered prayers.
    R - 84! Done!!

Paperwork sent - waiting for license!!

    FAR - 70, 81
    AUD - 83
    BEC - 77
