Becker FAR progress tests Getting worried!

My exam is coming up and I have been getting around 65-70 on the multiple choice questions in Becker progress tests. I know that is pretty close to a 75 but I was hoping that I would do better on multiple choice in case I got tripped up by sims on the actual cpa exam. Can anyone give insight to if they did better on the actual exam than in the Becker progress tests? Also, what are your thoughts on the Becker Final Exams? I have heard some people just avoid them.

    Hi,

My test is also right around the corner…. and I been wondering the same thing…. my progress tests scores are around 72-78… is that good enough to get a good score on the mcq part of the exam? I been just doing these tests over and over but I would really love tips and insight….feel like i will be going in the exam blind….

I took my first exam on JAN 26th. Audit

Becker did a great job in covering the material and supplement with Ninja Notes.

I did all the HW, progress test, and final exams.

    Progress test was useful

B/C it kept the older material fresh in my mind while learning the new chapters.

I haven't received my score yet so take my advice with a grain of salt.

    Goodluck –

    AUD--52,68,83, expired. Retake = 74 RETAKE - 7.24.26
    FAR--73,70,68,75
    BEC-- 79
    REG-- 68,62,75

I was scoring in the low 80's on the becker progress tests and you can see my score below. Just keep practicing and you will do fine. I just used becker and NINJA notes, I did all the HW twice the first becker practice test and a bunch of the practice tests. Just keep practicing with what time you have left and I am sure you will do just fine.

    AUD - 08/20/12 - 82
    REG - 10/30/12 - 82
    FAR - 01/05/13 - 80
    BEC - 04/15/13 - 84

I'm not trying to stir anything up but I would think it's a bad sign to not be scoring high on the progress tests. I mean, you already have memory – either conscious or otherwise – of what the answer is previously. I would think you should be scoring 90+% on questions you already have experience with.

I say this because I was scoring 95-100% almost every time on my short REG progress tests and I ended up with an 84. Maybe it's harder to remember FAR questions because there's so much more material. Best of luck either way.

Thanks for all the answers! Yeah I am going to continue working on the progress tests and reviewing material. My scores were actually better today so hopefully things are sticking. Good luck to everyone else with exams coming up!
