So I joined NJCPA for review course discounts since my company doesn’t pay for that stuff. For my retakes, I’ve been doing Wiley questions and matching them up with other lectures so that I won’t be memorizing questions. It’s a pain in the ass but more doable than trying to match them with Ninja questions.

Since I haven’t touched REG or BEC, I thought it would be more convenient to get Becker since I happen to like the teachers in my area. Well, Becker has a $300 discount for buying the full course. Being done with FAR, it ain’t worth getting. Unfortunately, there’s no discount for buying individual parts. HOW MESSED UP (I want to use a word that rhymes with truck but that would probably get deleted). I also considered Roger and they have 20% off for parts (the regular course, not Cram). Why would Becker charge so much but have the most restrictions with discounts? One teacher said they only pay him $8 an hour.

Under the best case scenario (making a clean sweep at the last 3 parts), I ultimately wouldn’t use those discounts. So kids, if that’s your sole reason for getting a state society membership, do your research for ALL the courses you’re shopping for.
