Hey guys, can someone help me in getting this right.. Are Becker Progress test questions different from the homework questions? I have started doing the progress test questions for BEC and almost all the questions look similar to the homework questions i did while studying. Should i utilize my time in doing the progress test of Becker or the Wiley test bank because I can only do one before my exam.

I am pretty sure the Becker progress test questions take the questions straight from the homework. Those are the progress tests I've been doing and I have noticed the same thing. I don't use Wiley, but if their questions are different, I would use theirs for your progress test practice!
BEC - 78 (8/30/13)
REG - 73 (1/31/14) - 76 (4/7/14)

AUD - also after the wedding"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

The level of the questions is harder plus there are so many new concept questions which Becker doesn't have. This is my first exam and I don't know whats the level of the actual exam. I just have around 10 days left for BEC exam. I don't know if using only Becker for BEC would be sufficient or not..

If you end up taking one of their finals, you can add a solid 10 or 15 points to that score and the result would be similar to what you'd see on the real thing. The thing with Becker finals though, is that they really make you nervous because they are harder, so they tend to be demoralizing. I've been reading on here that a lot of people don't take the Becker finals just because of that reason and they take the progress tests instead. I'm not sure how the progress tests compare to the real thing, but I do know that if you select all sections for the progress tests, they break down the number of questions per topic to a similar breakdown that you'd see on the real exam. I'm sure you know this, but after you take the progress tests, you can see how well you scored on each section, which tells you where your weak areas are.
I can't really comment on Wiley because I haven't used it, but I've been doing Becker progress tests and taking notes on questions I got wrong or didn't feel as confident answering. They have seemed to help so far!
I would say you could try one of the Becker finals just to see what you score. Remember that you will likely score lower than you want, but it might be a good indicator of where you're at, and then you'll know you took a test harder than the real thing, which could be a confidence booster! I believe I scored in the mid and upper 60's on the BEC Becker finals and I ended up getting a 78 on BEC.

I'd say do one or both Becker finals soon (don't do them too close to exam day or you may be really discouraged), and then spend the rest of your review time doing progress tests of 20 questions each and do some Wiley questions as well to change it up a bit. Hope this helps and good luck!

April 4, 2014 at 1:43 pm #542530GutiParticipantThe progress tests use hw questions. I think they are good practice cause it covers all 10 chapters in 20 questions or more. When you start getting above 80%, you should start practicing with wtb. Don't get discourage when you go from 85% on Beckers practice tests to 65% on wtb. The questions in the wtb are harder cause they go into much detail.

BEC-April 6, 2014 at 5:56 am #542532TDKRParticipantI recommend doing the Becker final exam at least once. They definitely helped me prepare on the format and timing for the exam. It also help by pointing out my weakness in certain areas so I can go back to do more notes on.
REG - 72, 72, 81
BEC - 77
FAR - 70, 81
AUD - 74 "so that's what it feels like." Round 2: 79Passing the exam is not impossible task. GIVING UP is the only way YOU can make it impossible!
