    Hi All,

Finally after a few months hiatus I’m back to studying. My main question is I’ve decided to try Rogers after failing AUD twice with Becker. I’ve done my research and watched his sample videos and gone on his website, etc.. I’m curious as to how people have fared going from Becker to Rogers. I just couldn’t read the same text book over for like a 20th time.

    Here we go Again

    AUD: (65)(66) 77
REG: (66) (48) destroyed me mentally.....
    FAR: (68) (66)(69)(71)
    BEC: (63) 75

Hey! I've passed three tests so far using Roger's so I think it's pretty good stuff. Between his material and the Wiley material that comes with the package I think it's great. Also, it's always about the time you put into studying the material that really makes the difference.

I'm using Roger right now and really do enjoy his content. I have the advantage of having Becker materials as well (through my job), but I switched to Roger because I'm a little scatterbrained when it comes to studying and need some life in the materials.

I think he does an excellent job at explaining the concepts (not just giving you a whole bunch to memorize). I don't memorize very well and I think Roger is good for those who need high level content. I have used Roger for 3 exams so far (passed two of them and waiting for my 3rd test score). But, I think any program can be good—if you put in the time. Time I think is the biggest variable that goes into being successful on the CPA.

    FAR - 82 (8/30/14)
    AUD - 95 (10/7/14)
    REG - 82 (11/7/14)
    BEC - 85 (11/26/14) - PEACE OUT!
Roger CPA, WTB, Becker, and Ninja Notes (with added prayer, tears, and hope!)

I used Gleim for my first two parts AUD and BEC. Averaged an 87. I used Rogers for REG and I am afraid I bombed the exam to kingdom come. Rogers MUST be supplemented with something else or you are doomed. He is an awesome teacher but so high level he misses going over huge amounts of the material tested on the exam. I would say at least 30% of the exam material is not covered by Rogers. So that is a big challenge. If you can get most of it on the fly then you should be fine. But again my level of preparation despite putting in tons of time with Rogers was inadequate for the exam. I am sure I failed, probably by 20 points or so. Really disappointed in that regard.

    AUD - 95 (89 1st time - expired)
    BEC - 85 (1st time)
    REG - 87 (1st time)
    FAR - 82 (1st time)

I used Roger for REG too so I know how you feel! But, I supplemented with Wiley TB. You probably did better than how you felt. I put in soo much time with Roger and still felt defeated by REG (I still have nightmares about that dumb test). Praying for a 75 this upcoming weekend, so right there with you.

As far as content, I think it is very very hard for any review program to make you feel 100% comfortable about the exam. Especially, REG, I had questions where I'm like this wasn't in any of my materials (I checked after the exam).

    FAR - 82 (8/30/14)
    AUD - 95 (10/7/14)
    REG - 82 (11/7/14)
    BEC - 85 (11/26/14) - PEACE OUT!

REG is my first exam and I am using Roger.

He has great lectures but poor test bank. So you need Ninja MCQ as supplementary material. If you have spare cash, go buy yourself Wiley TB as well.

    REG - 80 (02/13/2015) Roger + Ninja Flash Card + Ninja MCQ + Becker's Note
FAR - 84 (05/29/2015) Roger + Ninja MCQ + Some Wiley book questions
BEC - 77 (08/27/2015) Roger + Ninja MCQ + Half Wiley book questions
AUD - 87 (08/28/2015) Roger + Ninja MCQ + Half Wiley book questions

hneagle1,congrats on such a high score on Audit, did you just use Roger's book and his test bank for Audit or you had to supplement his test bank with Wiley? You have any Audit experience? I know Roger skips a lot of minor details.

I have used Roger for my first three sections. Auditing seems to be his strength as it was well organized and I rocked AUD with no auditing experience. I felt the same about REG as kenster7773 and hneagle1. I was blind-sided on most of the actual REG sims. Hopefully, I eeked out a 75+.

JimmyA, you only used his test bank for Audit?

Is the TBS in Ninja MCQ similar to the one in real exam?

    REG - 80 (02/13/2015) Roger + Ninja Flash Card + Ninja MCQ + Becker's Note
FAR - 84 (05/29/2015) Roger + Ninja MCQ + Some Wiley book questions
BEC - 77 (08/27/2015) Roger + Ninja MCQ + Half Wiley book questions
AUD - 87 (08/28/2015) Roger + Ninja MCQ + Half Wiley book questions

    @Mika

I would say it is kind of similar. The thing with SIMs is that they could literally be anything under the sun. I usually put most of my effort into multiple choice since essentially a SIM is a more detailed multiple choice question. They are similar in format, but I would not dare to say that they are completely similar in content. They will (of course) help though!

    FAR - 82 (8/30/14)

hneagle1: I tried at least 20 TBS in Ninja MCQ and they are very tricky/comprehensive in comparison with Roger TB.

    REG - 80 (02/13/2015) Roger + Ninja Flash Card + Ninja MCQ + Becker's Note
FAR - 84 (05/29/2015) Roger + Ninja MCQ + Some Wiley book questions
BEC - 77 (08/27/2015) Roger + Ninja MCQ + Half Wiley book questions
AUD - 87 (08/28/2015) Roger + Ninja MCQ + Half Wiley book questions
