    Heys guys random question,

for Becker has anyone waited to do optional multiple choice questions until their final review? I am in the middle of a move and want to know if that technique is somewhat effective, specifically for REG?

    Thanks

For REG, I did them concurrently with the homework. I wouldn't reccomend this seeing as I was typically lethargic and fatigued of MCQ by then.

For AUD, I have waited until the review period. I think you get the most out of them when you're fully committed.

I would agree with _Nick_ about being fully committed, but I do them concurrently with the homework. I spend a little longer on the chapter, but working the optional questions while the material is fresh helps it stick a little better and helps to avoid frustration (for me personally).

    AUD - 99
    BEC - 97
    REG - 91
    FAR - 1/8/16

I did them concurrently with BEC and FAR and I'm currently doing the same for AUD.

I always do them concurrently. I also put less weight on them than I do for the other homework questions because they're very specific at times.

    FAR: May 1st, 2014 - 91
    AUD: May 29th, 2014 - 97!
    BEC: July 16th, 2014 - 91
    REG: August 29th, 2014 - 88

I did them during the final review. I would review the chapter, the flash cards and the outline and then do the optional questions. I used that method on all of my sections. I found that at the end of the regular homework sessions, I usually had the concepts down and so I saved these to have fresh questions during the review. I also treated them as a test where I did not look up any answers before answering.

    FAR - 93 (YAY!!!!)
    REG - 93 (Double YAY!)
    BEC - 87 (Whew!)
    AUD - 96 (DONE!!!!!)

I did optional questions for BEC and now for FAR along with the chapter. I just personally like seeing the 100% when I'm done with a section 🙂

I have never done an optional practice question to this day, and so far it's worked out just fine (knock on wood)

    FAR 80 - 11/30/13
    AUD 86 - 02/28/14
    BEC 78 - 05/29/14
    REG August 15

    Study Material: Becker

I don't do them unless my review progress tests indicate I need to work on those areas.

    REG - 94
    BEC - 92
    FAR - 92
    AUD - 99

@CPAorbust haha thats exactly why I do them at the same time. I wasn't happy yesterday when I logged into Becker and saw that they had added the 2013 AICPA released questions to the MCQs so all of my progress reports show 97% done.

@Amanda I know! I saw that yesterday and part of my soul was dying now that all my totals aren't at 100% 🙁

Thanks guys @NicoleL, I usually do the, i have for FAR and AUD. I see they worked out for you and I have had a couple stressful weeks with moving to start my new job so I think I'm gonna give this a try and like it said its a good test to have new questions for the few chapters I am unable to finish.

    Thanks!!
