I have completed 2 tests thanks to the CPA Review Class offered at my University. An actual in-classroom experience is priceless when it comes to these tests; every little detail that the professors know might be able to add a point or two to your test scores. 3 best pieces of advices I’ve received.
1. More for just AUD – Read the questions 2-3 times before picking out an answer. One small word in a question is probably going to change what they are asking for. It is key for this exam to pick out the information that is pertinent and the info that isn’t.
2. Assume you know something about everything – I am in the middle of FAR Preparation right now and when I am going through MC’s through the Gleim online, there are questions that I believe are “out of left field”. Confidence is key. Because I know something about everything, it is often possible to eliminate 2 answers just because they are illogical. Believe it or not, several far questions can be answered on a very basic accounting equation you might have heard before. Assets = Liabilties + Equity.
3. Never reveal everything you know 🙂
AUD- 2/4/15- 87!
BEC- 2/19/15- 82!
FAR- 4/2/15- 78!
REG- 5/8/15- 76!“A failure is not always a mistake. It may simply be the best one can do under the circumstances. The real mistake is to stop trying.”
