Best way to review while studying?

Okay so I currently using Wiley. Every time I take (and fail) a CPA exam, I always give myself the advice of REVIEW WHILE STUDYING. I never do it though, and this time around for FAR I plan on changing that.

So here’s the deal, I have 244 sections in Wiley. My plan is to do one section, and review 2 sections, that way I am constantly keeping information fresh.

My question: what do you think is the best way of reviewing? I feel like if I did the MCQ then I would just start to memorize them. Should I review the powerpoint slides? Reread the text? Make notecards online? What worked for you? Please give me advice guys!

I am studying again for FAR with re-take in July. I am doing the MCQ but when I am reading the question or options I actually either write or read out loud to myself (explanation) why I think this answer is correct or not so that I am not just memorizing it. I am solving the computational questions even if I already attempted it before. Every 3rd/4th day I do MCQ for all the topics I had done before so I am not forgetting the material.

I am re-writing notes and listening to audio to/from work.
