Best way to study for Sims for FAR

I keep reading all of these horror stories about how hard the SIMS are and that people didn’t feel prepared. FAR is hard enough I really want to try and be prepared, did anyone find any particular study aid helpful for the SIMS?

I am using Becker self-study and I have read all over that they aren’t hard enough to practice with, any suggestions from people who have passed or have taken FAR before?

IMHO, for FAR Becker does good job covering sims, just make sure to do them and do those missed for a second time. Also, sign up for 24hr Wiley free trial and try theirs and you should be OK.

Key to FAR sims is to know JEs (& actually practicing review sims). It is helpful to use separate notebook and “collect” all JE as you go thru material.

    Hope that helps 🙂

I agree that you should definitely know JE. But I did not feel like the practice exam simulations even compared to the ones on my exam. I knew almost all the answers to the practice exams simulations but I only knew how to do one of the simulations on my exam. But yea practice journal entries a lot.

I don't think people should look at practice SIMs as something that will help you on your exam. They could give you anything. It's better to use the practice SIMs as study aids for answering the MCQ. I've never studied a single SIM and don't think I would have ever done better than I did if I spent 50 more hours doing practice SIMs. What you need to know for FAR SIMs is the journal entries, then apply what you learn from the MCQ/book and you should be fine.

Any problems/areas with journal entries: KNOW THESE JOURNAL ENTRIES.

That is how to be ready for FAR sims. So…. any practice doing/studying JEs is how to prep for them!
