    NINJA Question –

So i just started on Audit and would like to purchase the Ninja MCQ for it. I had it for far but only after i had finished reading the material and was wondering the best way to use the MCQ. Is it better to wait until i read the material to start on the MCQ or should i work some as i read the material?

I read the entire book and worked MCQ in the book after each section. Once I was done with the entire book I started working the MCQ. It helped me to work one section at a time and go through all the questions. Take notes if you need to on concepts that you have trouble with during the first pass. Then I went to the next section and worked all of those questions and took a short refresher quiz on the prior sections to make sure I didn't lose all that info as I was going forward. Once I got through every question once I started focusing on my weak areas–reread the book, rewrite my notes, look at flashcards, google for more explanation, etc. Do whatever you have to do to nail the problem areas. Then go back and work questions you got wrong if you have time. When I got bored with MCQ I would work SIMS to have a break.

I should have mentioned i am using CPAExcel for the text material and really don't like the questions they provide. Some people i have seen suggest reading the material then working Ninja MCQ.

I used Wiley book and I liked having questions after each subsection to make sure I understood the main points of the section, but if you don't like your book questions then you could do a short (5 question) quiz after each section from Ninja to sort of test your comprehension a little bit or just save all the questions for the end after you've done all your reading. Try one chapter one way and the next chapter the other way and see which way you like better. You don't have to do it the same way throughout your studies. Try one way and see if it works. If it doesn't, change it up. I studied differently for every test and what I posted above worked best for me, but it's trial and error and I didn't realize it until my last test that I preferred that method best.
