Hi Everyone,

I am looking into Big 4 Accounting Advisory groups and wanted to get some advice from you all. The group I am looking at does IPO readiness, audit support working as subject matter experts on technical accounting matters and helps companies with financial reporting matters. They also work as an on-call accounting policy team.

Any advice on what kind of work this can lead to in the future would be very appreciated. Thanks for all your help in advance!

I'm seeing an Accounting career in investment banking in the future, based on that. I could be wrong. Anybody?

Certainly a position in investment banking is a possibility. Another possibility is landing a title in the finance department with one of your future clients (controller, cfo, etc.)

It depends on what you want. If you want investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, etc., advisory can certainly help you get there. There is also opportunity to move into a consulting firm. Lots of travel in consulting, however.
