   Anyone have an idea of when you get the bonus? Like if we pass all 4 parts before our start date, do we get the bonus right away on our first paycheck or do you have to wait until you're with the firm for a certain amount of time? Thanks!

   Likely will have to fill out a bunch of forms with evidence that you've passed to get your bonus and reimbursement of fees. Will take probably a few weeks. Would say at least a month, maybe two, since you likely will get paid biweekly.

   You won't get it your first paycheck but ask your HR contact to see what the process is.

   You might want to make sure you still get a bonus if you pass before starting with the company. Some places will only give a bonus if you pass while employed with them. With that said it usually takes a few weeks to months for HR to process.

   Bobbins, are you serious?! I just sat for my last exam yesterday, and my start date isn't until the Fall! My company already paid for my review materials, though. Does anyone else know anything about this?

   It really depends on your firm. You might be okay since you have already accepted a position with them to start in the fall. But I would double check just to be sure.

   Just getting them to pay for your materials is great! That is almost a bonus by itself...except they paid you before you passed! My guess is since your company paid for your materials you should get your bonus.

   Depends on the company, mine will give you the bonus if you pass before your 1 yr anniversary regardless of whether you finished before or during your employment. I will be finishing mine before i start working (hopefully) and I will be receiving a bonus once they get all the verification paperwork and whatnot :).

   Big4 have policies in place for this bonus so you should be okay. Did your offer letter come with any supplemental stuff about licensure/CPA bonus?

   Just talk to HR that is really the best course.

    ha no worries! I can't even fatham they wouldn't give you your bonus because you haven't started working! That would be so terrible!!!! I would DEF assume you'll get your bonus once you start working:)

    Where I am at I think it's $5k if passed within 1 year of hire date, $2500 if passed within 2 years, $0 thereafter.

    I'd want to say since you already accepted and offer and passed the exam after accepting plus they provided materials you'd be eligible. In that case, once you start you'll have to go through the proper reimbursement channels - count on a good 2-3 pay cycles before you'd get it. It's not an automatic deal - you have to ask to be reimbursed.

    Contact HR to ask.

    Also you pretty much need to have passed the 4 parts to get promoted to senior. But that isn't really a bonus...

    I think PwC will give you a $1000 for passing by the 3rd year also.
