I was able to get a senior management of a Big4 to refer me for an entry level position in his firm about two weeks ago. I expected that I should get a call after about a week or less from a recruiter but unfortunately I have not heard from anyone. My question is , how long does one get contacted by a recruiter after an internal referral? I want to inform the person that refereed me but I am holding on for another week to inform him, so I don’t get pushy . What do you advise I do? And is it normal for it to take a few weeks? Thanks!

Send him an email asking him how long does it usually take to get a call back. This way you will not take up talk time of the referor, will get and answer about if this is normal, also if he needs to talk to someone he can do that.
