Hi i’m new to this forum, but currently i have a dilemma

Through my sister connections, i have a possible in with Deloitte, however i’m afraid my GPA currently 3.11 will be my downfall, i’m currently a sophmore in college, and have recently switched into accounting, currently i love it and am doing very well in my classes, however my GPA is only representing my time during pre-med, and not in accounting. I’m also going to a some career fairs in the following month, and i’m afraid that recruiters will immediately ignore me because of my freshman year. Any advice on how i can mitigate the damage? As for GPA advice, i’m positive it will rise, and also because of a school error, I can make my GPA rise from 3.11 to hopefully around 3.2.

GPA is only one factor. I started in September as a full time assurance associate at PwC and I got in with a 3.01 GPA

if u make it to the interview, than gpa is irrelevant. just make sure u can talk about the stuff on your resume and be personable, smile, and try your best to act as if your just having a conversation. usually, the people who conduct the interviews are nice people.

If you have taken any accounting classes or business classes for that matter, I would add your major GPA to your Resume. Just to let them know that you are actually good at accounting and if you talk to recruiters, you can explain that you made the switch and whatnot.
