Just sat for Audit today (last exam). You really to have ample time on this exam. Compared with the others I felt very comfortable and was able to take my time with the MCQ’s and the Sims double checking each testlet before submitting it. The exam questions were very similar to what I had been seeing in my practice sessions. Ok, here is where things get a little weird…

1. I got the same question TWICE, i.e. the exact same question in the first and second testlet. The only difference was that one of the answer choices was different…bizarre….

2. This one is even weirder. One of my sims on the exam was the EXACT same question I had in my practice sims. I don’t mean similar, I mean EXACTLY the same. I had just worked my way through it a couple of nights ago. I remember it in minute detail because I was angry that I got one of the questions wrong and I disagreed with the solution provided. When I saw the sim pop up I almost fell out of my Prometric chair, I mean wtf….

The thing is, I know that Ninja, Wiley, and Becker all use released AICPA questions, but how on earth did a previously released question work it’s way back onto a CPA exam?????? Absolutely insane!!!!!…..

Surely someone over at the AICPA dropped the ball….

Yup, just confirmed it. Exact same question. Should I report this to the AICPA?

It's common for people to see questions on exam day that are from their study materials or very close. They come from the same source.

you got lucky, my friend! In my past two tests, Ive definitely seen some questions that were the same as I have seen in review material. Theres only so much they can ask haha, if you study hard enough an do enough MCQ you are going to see some of the same questions

I had the same thing on multiple tests. Most of the study questions received from study programs are prior released questions from AICPA. If they want to use the question after they have released it, it's on them not you or your study program.

Charlie – You were so lucky!! I am sure you pass.

I used Yeager course w/ WTB, Wiley book and Ninja and got every simulation in all of them, but when I took exam… OMG!! 3 simulations were not even close any material study before and 2 simulations require analysis skills at higher level – I hope I did well. I could not find the research for the first time ever and took me 2.5 hours only in simulations.

I took the AUD for the first time and I did not about AL can help you in the AUD report so I fail 72 and the simulations were so easy but I did not memory the report the exam ask for (then I discover this chat) I took AUD x 2sd time and I only focus on my weak points so FAIL again -60 – simulations were so hard. I took AUD for the 3 time on 01/13/2015 (add NINJA) MCQ was ok x me…no difficult but different question and really tricky or question that you know or you do not know (no way you can guess). I am waiting for FEB 4 but whatever it will be the result, I am focus now in REG, I cannot study AUD anymore…I am sick of AUD and I need my break.

Any advice for REG, THANK AND I BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE DONE!! – Good for you!!

I sat AUD on Saturday and got the same MCQ twice… worded slightly differently but still the same. First time was on testlet 1, and second time was testlet 3 – different answer choices except for one though. So I knew which was right on testlet 3 but I also knew I got it wrong on testlet 1. Oh well.

I hedged my bets and chose a different answer. Luckily, I checked when I got home and I answered it correctly the second time round. It was one of the only questions I didn't know…
