trying to decide the best way to send my cpa books off to their after life….

burning, target practice, shredding each page by page, strapping it to a large pack of fireworks…..

Yeah, I actually tried to reference the FAR book for something (about property dividends and spinoffs).

It didn't come in handy at that time, but I can see it being helpful with something like CARINBIG.

Oh, it did come in handy for looking up pension accounting (SIRAGE) before diving into the codification.

I was planning on burning all of mine, but after reading these posts I'm having second thoughts. I guess I'll compromise and just burn REG, it was updated 2 weeks into studying for the exam, so I bought the new version…Sorry old REG book, you're going up in smoke (along with my notebooks)!

i get the keeping for reference thing, but i can always reference to another source, i havent found anything yet that i couldn't google….

I would recommend that you rent a tank from your local army surplus store and blow them to pieces with high powered artillery. Once again the high powered artillery is readily available from your local army surplus store

I went the target practice route. I typically shoot steel, but the weekend after I passed, I repeatedly filled those books with all sorts of calibers.
