    2 Corinthians 5:21

Our value does not come from our skills and abilities, as good as they may be; it does not come from our GPA, our job, a promotion from that job to a better job, our success on the CPA exam, or anything of the like; but our value comes from the fact that we have a Creator who loves us, cares for us, and desires to help us navigate the rough waters of this life in a way that provides security, hope, and true, everlasting joy while we anticipate the life to come, with Him.

For me, Becker was so frustrating. I felt like an idiot. REG was my first section and I was so freaked out, but when I got there it all felt so easy. “Harder” is a subjective term, but to me the exam was much easier. Whenever I felt stuck I eliminated answers that had words like MUST, NEVER, ALWAYS, etc. Words that were so definite usually indicate a wrong answer when law is concerned. You will do great. Deep breath. Good luck.

    REG - 85 (8/31/15)
    FAR - 82 (10/30/15)
    AUD - 84 (11/30/15)
    BEC - 77 (5/31/16)

I am panicking myself, the business law has some parts that I am not very sure about. My exam is sunday and I will be reviewing Ninja all weekend. I've basically given up on learning AMT, I think it's too confusing. I would love advice on any sections in particular that I should hammer out for sure.

For FAR i was pretty good when I really nailed non-profits, and gov sections. I don't know if there is such a section to focus on for REG.

    FAR: 78*, 75
    REG: 76*, 85
    BEC: 79*, 76
    AUD: 79*, 93

All scores expired, let's try this again.

    FAR - 78*
    AUD - 66, 79
    REG - 73, 76
    BEC - 79

On the exam, I didn't think the questions weren't bad when it came to business law. I think Becker does a good job with the types of questions they do give you.

The problem is that people often neglect it (Including myself) when studying, so there are a few that I knew but couldn't remember. Business law is actually the second largest topic tested on the test (entity taxation is the largest).

The one thing I wish Becker did was emphasize more on how important sections 5-8 are, individually they aren't a large part of the test but together they make up nearly half of the test. And behold, those sections were my weaker areas on my exam report. And as you can see from my scores, those points would have made such a difference!!

    FAR - 76 Oct 2015 (Becker)
    REG - 87 Apr 2016 (Becker + Ninja MCQ) - 3rd time's the charm!
    AUD - 82 Feb 2016 (Becker)
    BEC - 85 May 2016 (Becker)

I just started my studies for REG and got through the first chapter (Ethics & Professional Responsibilities) using Gleim. This chapter covers Circular 230, AICPA SSTSs, Return Preparers, and tons of other random stuff from Title 26 US Code. I am so damn confused about where Gleim is getting their sources of info and the book seems to be in no logical order to me! The Title 26 IRS code is like 3000 pages and I have no idea where to start or how to digest it.

Does anyone have any advice or links that explains the hierarchy or the USC and other regulations?
Should I just forget the USC and sloth my way through the book until it makes sense?

SASs for AUD and GAAP for FAR were simple to navigate and understand compared to this!

    Thanks!

    FAR: 85
    BEC: 84
    AUD: 74, 83
    REG: ??
