Hey SoCloseCA,
\n
I took the ethics exam the week I was waiting for my scores. It is not as hard as the CPA exams since it is open book, but CA ethics exam is the hardest of the nation. I heard that the AICPA one is way easier than this one. It took me about 8 hours to find the answers and I got an 86 on my first try. Right after you submit your answers they tell you your score and which Chapters you need to review to do better. That feedback is really helpfull since they list the chapters that you missed in the order that they are in the exam (Mine said that I needed to review, Ch4, Ch4, Ch6, Ch9 and Ch4) Most of the questions came from Ch4 which is Independence. But since I knew that my chapter 6 question was #15ish, I knew that I had missed 2 Ch4 questions between Question #1 and that.
\nOn my second try I was able to fix 2 answers and get the 90 that I needed.

My recommendations are:
\n-Buy the soft copy, so you can search the PDF file rather than reading every single page.
\n-Print out the exam questions. And while answering each question, put on the side where did you find the answer for it. I put the chapter and the page number.
\n-Do not underestimate the exam, research every single question and do not settle for your first finding. Most of them are tricky.
\n
Good luck!\n
