Hi all,

Thought I would start up this thread if anyone else is sending in their CA license application around this time. I will keep it updated and hope to help anyone else going through the same process. I really hope I get my license by 12/31/13 so I can truly say I am class of 2013! Sent my paperwork in via certified mail – return receipt. Now the waiting game begins…..

Haha well not quite *that* off. 🙂

I had to wait until July to finish up my experience before I could send off my application. But yes, it does feel like it's been ages since I've studies for the CPA exam (which is a good thing, right?).

Finally got back from a 2 week vacation (much needed) and had my CPA certificate waiting for me at home! I must say, I'm a little disappointed with the look; the only thing ‘official' looking about it is a gold CBA seal. Other than that, it's huge and almost looks like a photocopy. Not complaining, though. 🙂

It appears everyone who thought the deadline was 12/31 are screwing with my license. Ugh!!!!!!

“In response to your recent e-mail, your CPA application was cashiered on 10/25/13. Your 30-day initial status letter was to be sent to you by 11/25/13. The CBA apologizes and appreciates your patience. Due to the new education requirements coming forward 1/1/14 the Board has experience a large volume of applications. We are working diligently to deplete the backlog and are hopeful to send you a status letter soon.”

This is ridiculous! Instead of taking time to write this message, they could have spent this time actually checking that they have all of your 4-5 forms that they required???

My 30 day update is due on 01/12…I'll keep you posted…

@tough_kitty – I was being generous already and was expecting the 30 day letter 30 days from when they sent me my postcard saying they received my application. That was 11/13. But it appears they do count it from the cashing of the check. I really wanted to be licensed in 2013. (Having a pity party over here!)

That's interesting….they cashed my check a few days before they stamped the postcard…..seems like they have segregation of duties 😉 and the whole another team is responsible for reviewing our files………

What's funny is two different people responded to my email. The first was very generic saying we have your application and don't expect a status letter until January. Then two days later I received the one I copied on here. Not sure I like either answers lol
