Caffeine Overload

    Is anyone else ingesting copious amounts of caffeine to stay up late/get up early to study? I’m drinking coffee in the morning, soda in the afternoon, green tea at night…and anything else I can get my hands on in between.

    I’m 2 weeks out until FAR – I hope I can break my caffeine habit after the exam is over.

    Me!!! I actually am drinking pumpkin chai (chai has 4 out of 5 caffeine stars) at night, pumpkin spice coffee during the day, energy and metabolism vitamins in the morning…

    I ingest so much caffeine that, I am certain to one day develop super powers. Then I will don the Ninja Costume provided by Jeff from A71 and begin fighting crime at night.

    FAR is awful. So much to know.I've found the key is getting enough sleep. If I get enough sleep, I don't need the caffeine as much.That being said, I'm still studying because I dream about doing FAR problems!! Almost every night. Ugh.

    I work, study and sleep. I have no life but it will be over soon.

    I was totally over doing the caffeine all through my studying. I HOPEFULLY took my last exam on Friday… I've been tapering off. A cup or 2 in the morning. And the big improvement is no caffeine at night. I was really hoping to spend my non-studying time, working off the 25 lbs I gained. But without the coffee I'm just so tired. I should go for a walk right now!

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
    BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
    I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.

    For those of you looking to get the most out of caffeine, make sure you understand the basics of how it works. I've learned to power nap like no other, and I'm bright as day. And remember, even 20 minutes of exercise a day can improve memory & cognitive ability. Do some Push-ups in between studying!

    I stick to caffeine in the morning, sometimes afternoon, but if im sleeping im listening to Jeff under my pillow >_> lol

    sometimes I try ‘caffeine naps' after I get home from classes and am super tired but need to study.. but I usually end up sleeping way too long and thus defeating the purpose hahaha

    I try to get enough sleep each night. I usually never drink caffeine as I do not really care for coffee. Although I did take 1/2 of a 5 hour energy before my last exam, which I will do again for FAR.

    Doesn't FAR translate into Caffeine junkie? Studying for FAR now, and I have some sort of caffeine near me at all times. Usually soda, sometimes tea, but never 5 hour energy/monster/etc. Gives me way too much and I wind up cleaning the house instead of studying.

    33 – I thin yes. When I get home from work at 8pm caffeine is needed or the FAR book will not be touched.

    Increase your water intake; stay hydrated.

    also, don't drink soda because of the sugar crash (same goes for the sugar being put in your coffee; try to use a zero calorie alternative… not necessarily splenda, there are healthier zero calorie alternatives such as Stevia)

    Look, the way I look at it is, it's better than an adderall habit lol

    I have decided today to quit coffee, bad time to decide this. But I felt I was drinking so much of it that it was causing ADD instead of helping to focus. Any suggestions on what I can replace it with?
