can anybody help me out by telling me how to obtain the study material and take the ethics exam for california? any help would be great. thanks.
It is only offered through CalCPA. Check out their website. I think it's $125. Get the PDF version. Look up all the answers, then take the test. You get three shots to get 90%.

Mini's right about buying the pdf version rather than the printed version.
awesome, thank you very much.
@t-rex
how did you study for AUD? you got an amazing score and I'm taking AUD at the end of Nov... looking for some pointers if possible.
Even though it is open book, it still requires comprehensive concepts and critical thinkings since they don't provide every example in the study material. Good luck everyone.
what is the difference between the text and online version???
From my understanding is that Online version allows you to recieve study material faster (in 1 to 2 business days). You can download the study material in PDF form which will help you search answers faster. I am not sure how you take the exam on the paper text; it might take longer to find your result.
@hopeful,
I used Becker to prepare. Here are the steps I took:
Take my flashcards and type them into Word to use as a skeleton for my notes.
Fill in my notes even more using the Becker section outline.
Watch the lectures, highlight in the book, and add to my notes as I see fit.
Read the relevant section in the book and take additional notes.
Do all of the PassMaster MCs, and add to my notes while doing them.
Mark any parts of my notes or the book that need to be memorized.
Do the sims.
Go through every section that way and then redo all PassMaster questions and sims, marking any that you get incorrect to do a third time.
Review your notes as frequently as possible and rewrite them a couple of times.
Do the Becker Final Review.
Spend the final week memorizing all of the reports that Becker noted needed to be memorized. I did this during the last week because I knew that I wouldn't be able to retain it for too long.
I hope this helps. Good luck on AUD!
Oh, one more thing...on the actual exam, you may see material that you didn't see in Becker. If this happens don't fret, simply use your best judgment to choose an answer and then move on.
@T-rex,
Maybe you should teach CPA review as a career option.
